earlier today I hopped to our garrison waypoint from another borderland and saw the enemy zerg on my minimap incoming.
When they arrived at inner gate most of the dots (like 90% of them) were gone already.
Never saw this on any borderland or EB before (only in obsidian sanctum).
I suspected a stealth disruptor trap or smth, but nope.
Edge of the Mists has a consumable that allows a sentry turret to be placed that scouts enemies and marks them as orange dots on the minimap. I don’t believe these consumables were supposed to be allowed on the older WvW maps but perhaps there are other players on your server that found a way to use the consumables. You purchase these consumables from the observatory on the overgrowth side of Edge of the Mists and they work great in Edge of the Mists.
During particularly laggy periods of time (such as after a map swap) you can occasionally just see enemy positions. I’ve had it happen to me in southsun survival too upon loading in (which ill admit is also hella unfair)
it’s similar to being able to see through walls because you’re lagging and they havent rendered yet.
The seeing of the dots will eventually vanish as you start lagging less.
