so both the enemy servers have agreed to karma train each other keeps, garrison and sm since Tuesday without any resistance. Leaving us to have zergs from both teams flipping our keeps and garrison 24/7

Just want to know why anet haven’t put any diminishing returns or something to stop this kind of thing happening

Find a group of people who agree with you and pick a spot to defend. Destroy the oncoming zerg. Sabotage the agreement.

Or just report the people doing it with evidence attached, since it’s against the ToS from my understanding of it.

JQ had a truly evil idea with this one, clearing their queues once they are too far ahead to lose.

There appeared to be some sort of formal agreements from both Mag and SoS with JQ on Tuesday, but their latest tactic is just to give away SMC and keeps to retake later.

To think that Maguuma’s resident trollmaster general was actually bragging about taking JQ’s garri yesterday LOL.

If you want to put a stop to this, go the BL where the trades are taking place and put a stick in the spokes. That’s what most of us on SoS are talking about doing.

I haven’t been on since it started-but from my understanding that if you don’t agree to do it with the larger server they will target you and cover all your exit points. I think map capacity needs to shrink further to deal with too big of servers controlling other server game play

This is what happens when the matchup is determined by the end of the weekend (or even before that) — which is what happens when servers with big coverage/population disparity are matched up — which is what happens when Leagues are implemented before population issues are resolved.

It doesn’t help that karma training is also a great way of earning WXP, which everyone needs to keep up with the Joneses.

Man, I’m so glad this stuff doesn’t happen in EU.

Win trading is about as mindless as it gets. I mean it’s just pure farming. Go to Orr if you want that. You’ll get a heck of a lot more rewards and mats than you’d ever get in WvW.

Should be legit, I mean wasn’t this supposed to be a game that we are aloud to play how we want to play as long as we aren’t cheating or exploiting glitches or anything, and this isn’t doing any of that. So I suggest you follow the train, maybe get on a low level character and level it up, that’s what I have been doing all week, and am at level 72 from 10. Just a suggestion, but hey, you can always try and stand in the trains way, see if that works for ya, you never know, maybe they will stop. >.>

we cant with telling jq to kitten off about the ktrain and sos saying yes to it its 2v1 so i hope bg and sor dont go to there level and keep the fights going all week

Just to point out that SMC has changed hands five times in the last 35 minutes:
JQ→Mags→JQ→SoS→Mags→JQ

Get ten friends in a tower and build 10 superior ACs. Farm them as they come in expecting an empty tower.

Just because xyz players arranged something, doesn’t mean you have to participate, especially if you feel it’s abusing the system.

I’m looking forward to facing SoR and BG next week for the reasons you say – there might be real fights for the whole week instead of this stuff that has been going on.

I don’t think BG or SOR will midweek karma train, we like to fight each other to much <3

Please do tell which server you are on.

There’s no point in being competitive anymore because of the population differences. With random match ups there’s no sense of progression if your server does well and for leagues the positions within the match up are decided by the end of the weekend so there’s no point in trying to upgrade, siege up and hold on to your PPT even if you are losing.

The WvW developers have turned their game mode into a massive karma train, and sadly they seem to be content with it.

I think karma trains are boring too, but it behooves you to participate some if you’re after the Season 1 rewards.

Couldn’t give a rat’s kitten about wxp and karma, and the idea that we should be “grateful” that a brain-dead zerg server is somehow doing something to help the matchup is laughable.

We try to build a ram to take back our keep, and they would come blob us.
We take back a tower, and build a treb in to kill the walls at our keep and they would blob the tower.

At least SoR when we faced them previous would let us karma train. And we were grateful.

A karma train is better than being spawn camped during your off peak hours.

That’s a fair point, but now the incentive is to “let” a weak server karma train so you can back cap for more WXP and champ loot.

It’s becoming very hard to understand what exactly this league and all the incentive to play changes are supposed to do. I think back about 9 months ago, and while the game had its problems for sure, people did really care about WvW and trying to do well, even if it was ultimately a lost cause trying to play the coverage and ppt game. This is T2, and it’s been reduced to mostly players who don’t care about WvW and understand even less about it auto attacking doors to collect stuff.

The really troubling part though is that Anet knows from their previous game that allowing this sort of player culture to go unchecked ends badly. It starts as trickle, then becomes the norm, and finally results in players that actually want to play the game being ostracized as spoilers. This is exactly what happened to hero battles, team arenas, and codex arena in GW1…

That’s one of the problems with leagues. When the places in match up become obvious, points don’t matter anymore. It’s the same if lose to a server with 1 point or 100k points, so why not farm some WXP when your position in the match is already set in stone.

Knowing we are the weaker server-why should we make it easier for the stacked server to earn the rewards. I would find it hilarious due to queues and difficulty taking stuff that they win the league and get no reward. Unfortunately human nature wants the not as good short term reward rather than take the time to wait for the richer reward.
