We have someone who keeps shouting out in map/team chat to get players for the other server isn’t this spying? There is no report option for this

Not really against any rules, just block them and move on….

While it is indeed rather annoying, it is also something that would be completely impossible to stop.

But surely it means they are for the other server in some way and so when they hear team or map chat they are spying?

It’s no worse than the 20 or so that park up around our maps and don’t do anything other than take up a spot so when zergs clash they have a 20 man advantage..

But what can be done about it?
Unless the communication goes through the game alone (which is unlikely) there is literally nothing ArenaNet can do about it.

We got on guy like that on UW too, I just reported him for spamming and blocked him. I don’t need to read the bs he writes in map chat every few mins or when our tiny zerg gets wiped.

What is more annoying tho, some of our commanders tag down when they see him and that eventually leads to people don’t following them cos well, they can’t see the tag on map.

This started only few days ago together with enemies trying to join commander party.

That person isn’t spying. A spy doesn’t make it obvious. Spies are on TS and communicate the info to their guild via non written communication. A lot of times they will use an extra chat service like mumble or vent. They won’t even use the open TS WvW channels if you have them set up.

Besides, if I am reading what you are saying correctly, he is on your server and talking in your map chat for the enemy to come. Kind of pointless since the person you are accusing of spying would already know the info and not need to say it in map chat to….himself?
