Do training sessions for your guild and invite the server to come along
Log on your mesmer, portal people into your basement and don’t let them out until they have joined your guild.

I’m assuming you want WvW recruits.
The best way is to tag up and raid with your guild in eternal battleground. Once pugs are following your tag be successful with fights and start advertising your guild to em. You’ll get a few recruits that way. You can also advertise in the living story zones or lion’s arch. LS zones might get you faster recruits but LA is always there.
(this next part is a plan for recruitment if I make my own guild at some point, to address things that scared me with new guilds)
I was always a bit scared when a guild wants me to go fill an application to get in. If your guild has such a thing it may be blocking recruitment.
What you can do is have an introductory rank. Then have an application to fill out on your guild’s website (or a simple interview) that can allow players to advance in rank to the standard membership. This way you get the new recruits in the door and interacting with your guildies while maintaining your standards however you wish. Get your guildies talking with the recruit and he gets more comfortable and accepting of how your guild’s culture goes without having to fill out any paperwork. You can even trial him before you present the interview for advancement. See if he comes to your raids, see if he goes to your guild missions, runs dungeons. See if your guild mates like him. If he checks out you promote him. That’s how I would run it anyway. I just haven’t gotten the courage or commitment to actually make my own guild yet.

This is the best way. Effective WvW commanders don’t need to ask for sign ups they get plenty of players asking to join.
