I’m tired of seeing enemy ACs shooting shooting across the walls. But there’s a huge zerg and I don’t see who’s shooting, even if I found it I don’t know his/her ID. What should I do?

There is no way for anet to tell if someone is zoom hacking, or if they are running triple monitors.

As such they will not ban anyone for doing it either way. hence zoom hacking is a legit tactic because of this.

Also with all of the new ultrawide monitors coming out, you can’t tell. Sure, they might be “zoom hacking” but they might also just have a nice monitor setup and that is the normal view for them, that is one of the big reasons to have ultrawide or triple monitor setups, the plus side is even bigger in FPS games.

Also, if you build an AC somewhere decently close to the door, you can simply target locations behind the door, through the little slit above every door… no wide monitor or zoom hack required…

What arenanet should do is limit how much you can see when using Siege so the one with ultra wide will only get small pic in midle off screen.

Indeed, there are also sneaky spots to put an ac down so you can shoot over a wall without having to “zoomhack”.

That isnt what OP is talking about, i’ve been wvwing for awhile and it’s pretty annoying that people who can afford huge monitors can AC over a wall, i cannot do it w/e the position, i dont have 3 monitors. its simply not fair.

pigdog you dont need that, watch Catalin Guild you only need to use window mode and change that so you have wider.

The poor mans solution to 3 monitors is window mode.

ANet once added a minimal LoS restriction to ACs once, but it still has much to many freedom.

Even if you could report them do you think anything would actually happen? Exploits@ is just like the forums, it’s just a place for people to vent their frustrations. It’s not like anyone at anet really pays attention to it.

not zoom hack but speed hacker. yet nothing will happen as hes been doing it everyday for past week.

also need more report options for things like this. botting/scamming closest match yet I’ve seen cheaters months later after reporting them multiple times for botting/scamming

There are also spots where you can build the ac on the outside of the wall bout halfway up, jump on the ledge holding the ac and you can see the top of the wall = shoot everything on the wall.

EG: Bay north inner.

It’s not a normal view unless their monitor is 12 feet wide and 4 inches tall. Even triple monitors don’t have the aspect ratio of zoom hacks.
