Will we ever get the option to turn off targeting on the right mouse button? In wvw its impossible to keep someone targeted in medium to large battles. Its very annoying and frustrating for people that use right mouse button to turn their character.

So am I the only one that has this problem?

He’s saying that right mouse button can be used to select and deselect targets. This poses a huge problem because you’re constantly using right mouse button to move your camera/character around. In WvW there are tons of people everywhere so the chance of accidentally selecting someone (whether friendly or enemy) is very high when looking around, thus changing your intended target and messing you up.

This is one of the reasons why people don’t want to put up with this BS and use that combat mod.

So if there’s a mod out there that fixes this problem why doesn’t anet just fix this for us and make people happy ?

I wonder how many people have left this game because of this. No other mmo does it this way and I’m close to leaving my self. Only reason I haven’t is because of necro being a range character that makes it a little easier. When I play a melee character I just want to put my fist through my monitor. Its so frustrating and annoying makes playing a melee class impossible.

Should also have your cursor always stay on screen, it disappears when you mouse move which sux when in middle of a big pixel bomb and you lose track of your curosr. At least an option to keep cursor always visable it’s not asking for much.

It is a problem, most of us are just used to it to be quite honest. I lose my target all the kitten time and just target another one. If its necessary to stay on a target I use the targetting option when in a group. This isn’t WvW specific though, and it has been brought up MANY times before. This will probably get moved to the suggestions forums, again.

I for one, would like this fixed though, it is ugly behavior. And it took me quite a bit of time to get used to dealing with it, as it has many others.

This issue makes playing a lot more difficult than it should be, especially if you are playing a class that needs to chain multiple abilities on the same target. There is a thread in the suggestions forum started 6 months ago that asks for an option to disable right-click targeting, and a red response in the thread from 5 months ago stating that they are busy with making content at the moment but will look at it when they get the chance.

This was a huge issue for me from launch. Shame that we were never given the option to change this behavior, it was terrible for competitive pvp/wvw imo.

I’m fairly certain you can turn this off in options…

No there is no option to turn this off. I’ve tried every option possible.

This option and the option to change your cursor color are things that have been asked for since launch and have never received an official reply.
