Änyone know what exactly you have to do to get this as a medal/mission completed? Seems sometimes I can fight off theives and skelk protecting the Doylak and walking with it from point A to B and not get it. Then other times I seem to just be randomly passing by and get the reward/mission completed. As my main being a Necromancer at the moment this is going to be one of my main objectives in the server I play for at present, so I want to make the most out of it by getting some return for my work.

It seems to be based on a certain amount of time or distance. It doesn’t take much to get a bronze, maybe 100 yards of escorting. If the yak’s on a route where it makes more than one stop e.g. North camp→Cragtop→Garrison you won’t get escorting credit until the yak reaches the final destination.

Its based on how far you escort it, although they should have rewards than just a “medal picture”

Escorting Dollies is prolly the most boring stuff to do out there, yet I’ve done it loads of times just to support keeps n towers with supplies. I’d love to be rewarded with something other then just a goldmedal and I truly believe most others agree. So lets all hope there’s a light in the end of the tunnel for doin this tiresome work.

Those ranger bots (and their pet bears) are probably the reason escorting is so unrewarding now. But, since I have seen no bots lately, maybe they can reinstitute the rewards.

Yeah, I have been doing some research into this. It sounds like early on people exploited it and were just escorting them for the sake of getting the rewards. The distance travelled bit sux too, because basically I am playing zone defense between Rogues and WC, so if it goes further I would be leaving Rogues unprotected.

Yea, that’s exactly what happened. You had teams of 20 people, mostly bots, just following the dolyaks around because it was the most efficient way to get karma in the whole game. The reward should be brought back IMO, though it doesn’t have to be the same thing. Maybe some supply that doesn’t count toward your personal cap or something.
