siege disabilers
how can you break what is already broken?
so anyone else feel that these things are to strong if not game braking?
I do, because they seem they were designed with helping defense in mind (since almost everyone currently blobs anyway), but I’ve had them used against me when I was the defender, and it’s not good. I don’t care what people say to make themselves feel better about it like, “learn better siege placement”, no, I know about siege placement – I’ve been playing since 3day headstart. I’d think I’d know by now. It just so happens to be one of my favorite positions in a defense is on an AC, ofc on a wall. Which is easily AOE’d to death anyway by a blob. At least in the past though I could resist that by pelting anyone I saw trying to AOE me/the cart down – with arrows. Usually they decide “we were just kidding, we really don’t wanna break your AC” and wander away from my fire. Now, no, they can just disable it while they kill it, all the while, facing NO resistance. It has happened to me twice in a row before RQing WvW.
So just yet another thing that seems the playerbase is abusing in ways the developers probably never anticipated (like many of the mechanics in WvW/this game). I would like to first and foremost see these items eliminated. It would be nice to see something done about server stacking, have a little more even population across all servers, but even more important than that to me would be making it so tower siege (if not all siege) can only be destroyed by other siege, and not mere player damage (that could also mitigate the disabler problem?!), and likewise make it so player damage doesn’t go through gates, so people can actually repair them again, although ofc if we removed player damage from damaging siege/gates they wouldn’t be hitting it in the first place (so they quite possibly wouldn’t have to figure out “how” to fix the fact that player damage does go through gates)…
Those are, at least at the moment, what are the most important to me.

Firstly, it wasn’t good to release them just before the tournament without testing.
Secondly, the ground targeting is too large. One should not be able to take out sieges placed on both ends of SMC’s gate. At least 2 should be required.
Third, there should be a limit on the number which may be placed i.e. if this flame ram has already been disabled once, it should not be affected by the disabling effect for the next 2mins (for example).
Remove this thing already. Or at least nerf it into the ground with just 10-20sec disabled duration and internal cooldown of at least 3minutes so you can not spam them like a fool.
Those people saying they like it must love imbalances i guess.

Agreed. Siege disablers are ridiculous right now. They either need a clear counter – anti disablers – or a real nerf. Asap
Havoc squads are feeling the real brunt since doing a ninja on a tower/keep just got exponentially more difficult.
This is also a big advantage for more populated servers. One player can hold off a small zerg until the large server can WP in for a wipe. The old system at least gave smaller populated servers a chance to get in some opportunity flips. It also kept larger servers blobs somewhat in tact since they had to at least defend a little. Now they just need a couple players near the WPs with disablers.
These work well when both sides are relatively matched in numbers but the old system did that just fine.

You guys are all wrong….more PvDoor from the larger zerg was the goal. They nailed this perfect. Havoc squads and strategy….Pish Posh…get in the zerg and spam 1 at the door.
