static match ups
Anet lied (where’s the Manifesto now?)
I like this idea because then this gives everyone a chance to actually win a match. The person in the middle might be kind of screwed with this though. They would get someone that is better than the last winner and another that is worse than the last loser.

Not a fan of that idea. As it is now the unbalance of players per side at any given time makes a huge difference. Being as lopsided as it is now is terrible. IE allowing 2 people on one side (JQ) vs 100 people on the other (Sos). (I have no good solution to that problem) Anyway, if JQ dropped down a bracket and BG moved up not only would JQ destroy the other 2 servers in tier 2 worse than BG did, but BG would lose even worse than JQ in Tier 1.
I never understand why people think its boring to have as even match ups as possible.
Most mmos your versing the same half of a server the entire time with no option at all. Sure the system should be changed to allow a team that constantly wins to go up more easily but I personally love the rivalries that are formed from being against each other on a regular basis. Also there are so many different players on a server and everyone is anon anyway so what does it matter.
I think people don’t even realize how bad it would be to have change every week. Stabilization period was bad either smacking or getting smacked, either way it is boring like this.

3 weeks? Dude, JQ has been playing SBI since what… late September? Something like that.
Yeah, I think we’re a little sick of each other, but there’s also a lot of motivation from both sides each week to keep besting each other.
