Can i keybind deselecting a target or am i stuck using the escape button to deselect a target so i can actually use my movement skills without getting myself killed?

No, not that I’m aware of, and that would be too easy. You have to either….

Hit escape (sometimes more than once) and then try to get your hand correctly back on your keys to hit your movement skill

-OR-

click with your mouse button frantically on a friendly target or the open space, then hit your movement skill

Neither one is really desirable imo. I try and use the 2nd option. Heaven forbid we have key binds for such things as this or Ranger pet passive/aggressive toggles or pet stowing. (If you play a Ranger, you’re used to this kind of lack of keybind shi…kitten.)

I click in open air aswel, good luck not selecting a wall that is full repaired or whatever else is targetable for unknow reasons.

And even if you deselect your target, your movement skills still have a change to go to the last selected target (even with all options turned off).

The targetting system in this game is one of the worst in any MMO. That is partially the reason why stealth is so strong, because it breaks target.

Double click nothing and zoom your camera way in so you don’t autotarget anything else if you try to leap or whatever. Works for me. Super sensitive mouse wheel tho.
