Somehow after reading the title of this I thought it was going to be a link to a beta for some other game. With that being said, without some sort of frontier (new or old-DAoC at this point) that is persistent, doesn’t reset every X days, and is open to everyone on every server at all times, I don’t see wvw “improving” at all. Fortunately, I still enjoy reset night, like the community I play with and have nothing else to do at the moment…sooo…yeah.

they should redo the WvW maps to be like DAoC New Frontiers: one big zone where you can only zone into your own borderland, and have to run through eternal bg (agramon) to get to the other servers’ borderlands.
and make them bigger so roamers have room fight without being in the path of a keep taking zerg.

Sorry, but that’s kitten All you’d have is one mass battle in the middle with no tactical content to offset uneven populations. One mindless zerg against another with everyone going ranged (guaranteed … it happens in every similar situation in other games).
I disagree. Plenty of other games developed interesting and rather unpredictable play. All the zergers are going to go pvdoor anyway.

Not by plopping everyone down in the middle of a field with no objectives. Name one that did.

It was a hub. If you prefer arena style play, fine … but that isn’t “the obvious solution” to WvW.

As for GW2, it would be really nice if Anet were to cater to each of the PvP personalities since there isn’t just one.
*Those that would love a true sandbox experience (persistent world, possibly done by player created structures/weapons, requires tactics/planning/team cooperation, etc)
*Those that would like a free for all pit just to bash people and maybe one or two simple objectives (like Alterac Valley)
*Those that would like a free for all pit with NO objectives (Open field of killing)
*Those that like solo/small team PvP (sPvP or tournament PvP)
Most importantly, have these all separated. That way, when you join, you know what is expected of you. I would hope this would minimize the types of complaints we see from various mindsets (the tactician vs the zerglord, and the hard-fought reward seeker vs the “if it’s easy, it’s fun” crew).
