I can’t see my guildmates on the map unless they are in my group.

We typically run with 2-3 guild groups, sometimes more, and it would be a really good, if basic feature to have.

I know there’s commanders… but having to pay the fee x however many commanders are required to have one on at all times just so you can see your guild on the map doesnt make sense.

Could this simple feature be considered?

Agreed. I find it weird that guild members aren’t shown on map.

meanwhile even rift had that function..

again Anet is making horrible amateur mistakes with their game – feels like they all received shocks to their heads and forgot how to maintain a good mmo.

Yeah, GW2 launched without a bunch of basic features expected in contemporary MMOs. I hope they add them in soon.

Frankly I would like the map to show blips for everyone from your server. It gets impossible to try and think tactically if you can’t see where your team is. Want to be on the offensive with the zerg? You can see where the battles are but can’t differentiate between the zerg in an epic battle or a small roam getting stomped. Want to help defend? You don’t know where there are people defending and it’s not worth trying to find out when the maps are like Battlefield 2 when some motherkittens take all the APC’s with no one in them at the start of a match, you run 10 minutes to realize that you’ve either wasted your time or get stomped in 30 seconds.
