New to WvWvW on BG server. Since I’m new to wVw I usually run with the zerg. Find that there are usually multiple commander tags up and sometimes find myself following the wrong Doritos chip around. Nice quality of life change would be to have different color commander tags. Nothing the player would control just the first one would be blue, next red etc… Then it be easy to find find the commander you’re following. Don’t think this would be a great development task to implement

When it’s green vs blue vs red, tags that are the enemy’s color would likely confuse the noobs.

Commander tags based on your WvW color and various shades of that color besides (e.g. lime, standard green, forest green, etc.)? Hell and yes.

Right click your favourite commander and select join squad. After that you’ll only see their tag.

If it doesnt work from the map click… find the commander in the zerg your following, right click his nameplate, join squad

when your done with him, /squadleave

What an archaic system. When MMO’s that came out 5 years ago have a vastly superior PvP/PvE grouping system that fits any number of players or situations… I have to shake my head.

For all the wonderful and innovative things GW2 did right, their grouping system for over 5 people fell back to the stone age. They need to revamp the command & squad system or add a new grouping system that actually fits players and guilds play styles.

Didn’t know about the squad mechanic. That said after trying it you loose a lot of tactical awareness if you can’t see the other commanders on map. Using wVw color would be confusing but using different shades or even different icons same color. Other MMOs do allow marking mobs or toons. Seems like it would be good addition to GW. Would love to figure out who the enemy commander is and mark with skull. Wouldn’t be visible on map just LOS. Thoughts?

Currently you can mark targets for your group with ctrl t.
The mark however disappears with culling >_< (fixed soooooon. i hope. :p)
