Guild Wars 2

Hey boys,

I want to get into wvw, specifically roaming with smaller groups.
I’ve gotten kind of burnt out on PvE and only playing PvP isnt cutting it for me anymore.

I’ve heard people say that joining a t2 server is probably best, why is that? Does anyone have a better idea? Where do I go about finding a guild for that WvW server?

If you want mindless zerging that relies on numbers alone join FA

If you want to learn how to wvw through tactics and siege join YB

If you want something in the middle join SoS

T2 might not be your cup of tea when it comes to roaming. Not that there isn’t quite a lot of roaming going on, there is, but you WILL get run over by larger groups relatively often.

Now if you aren’t specifically looking at NA prime then yes you will find quite a lot of smaller scale things going on.

In terms of tier choice, it really comes down to personal preference. T1&T2 provide a lot of large-scale fights which a lot of people like. T2 off-hour is lighter and there may be more coverage gaps compared to T1. You can probably play with smaller groups in those time zones. T3 is pretty solid as well but their off-hour timezones can be more lopsided but if you are mostly NA player, it can be solid choice as well. Not sure about T4 and below. They could be more ideal for roaming players who just look for small-scale fights.

From what I hear a lot EU is more varied and tier would matter less than NA. Best bet regardless is to check with some of the server communities and find people that share the interests you do and either move to their server or one that routinely faces them.
