happend 3 times 2 me 2day only in WvW u r caught in bindingvines elite ranger skill, but ur not able to do anything, i had no other condition on me and i wasnt interrupted . but couldnt destroy the vines with my meele weapon… nothing the char is standing rooted not being able 2 do anything i could pop heals and utilities but combos were kind of disabled… was very annoying! does anyone knows if this is a bug or so?

I’ve had it happen to me as well but hadn’t tracked down what was causing it. Perma-root with no way to remove it.

I’ve tried using binding vines on other players and they get out of them quickly, so I figured it was a combination or some other skill that I was getting caught in.

It’s a bug. If you’re using ranged weapons you’re pretty screwed. Melee can just spam their #1 skill a few times and it will break the roots.

You can’t target roots with ranged weapons.

I’ve targeted roots on other players with my bow, but if I’m rooted, even if I switch to my sword, I can’t remove them sometimes.

I’m not sure if it’s related but ‘objects’ seem to have a significant miss ratio. In WvW targeted siege and the like tends to miss, particularly when I use melee (yes I’m in range).

In PvE and Story mode when I need to beat on things like Tamini supplies, I get a similar effect, like collision is off in some way?
