I can only surmise that it is a points total thing ….. who you played and how many points you won or lost by. I play on SBI and JQ has finished ahead of us most times we played. However, generally when we lost to JQ it was by a scant number of points. And JQ did not beat SBI every time they played …

Some AN clarification would be helpful. How is this calculated?

TC, the rankings are based on adjusted values of winning and losing against other ranked servers. The game has been out for about three weeks, I recommend you wait a few more weeks before you claim the rankings are bogus. If JQ continues to do well against the three servers above them, as well as fight off any servers below them, they will go up in the rankings.

ArenaNet said they based these rankings starting September 1st, so it hasn’t even been two full weeks that they have used to compile these rankings. It will change. JQ will go up or down based on its continual performance, not based on single matches.

we should decide ranking by the number of times of the percentage of victories.

Otherwise, the server which played a match against Henge of Denravi become low.

because we got vs HoD more times and always was 2nd and third, while ET and SBI had the chance to go vs others and get first place, just like we are vs blackgate and isle of janthir right now

The golden part of the OP was when he said SBI is a Korean server and since NCSoft is a Korean company, they are fudging the rankings to favour SBI.

Today I learned that I am Korean because I play on Stormbluff Isle.

well there is some on going drama on stormbluff about jade quarry and henge teaming up or something its all everyone talks about and reports lol. I dont know if its against coc for servers to team up or whatever seems like a big deal though

Does it matter? #4 #3 #2, it’s still not #1.

I wouldn’t put so much into the standings at this point. It still in its infancy, and ranking will change over time. This is just the first set of results they have to show and its nice to be able to see how they have the scoring right now. With 1 week matches coming up, things will change again, so don’t worry about 4th place at this point. There have been some fun and competitive matches and I know that will continue regardless of current rankings….
