we all know the w exp i soon to be account bound.
with that change i don’t see any problem in implementing this new w exp method.
zerging is pretty much frowned anywhere and a net is trying to find a harmless way to discourage zerging. you see most people zerg for bags, w exp, and karma. a net can pretty much remove bags from champions in wvw since it is the primary reason why people zerg (the impact will be big on zerging) , but what im talking here is about w exp.
zerging on tower is pretty much the primary source of w exp (hate to admit it but sometimes i am forced to go with zerg for the tower exp) and as a player that roams a lot i found that this is rather unfair. i know many people that zerg regularly and their rank is far above me since i am getting most of my world exp from sentries and camps. but world ranks should reflect the skill of the player, i am tired of encountering bronze general or silver knight that cant even put up a fight properly

so this is a sugestion to a net, how about changing the w exp system to a more friendly format for roamers and small group? this can be done in changing the exp system for sentries, camps and tower. i dont mention defending objective because the effect will be detrimental.
the current exp system for sentries, camps and tower as it is now is 100,200, and 400 respectively. so to deter zerging from the w exp perspective is to change the exp to a pool system for example:
tower is 400 exp now so in new system sentries is 1500 exp divided by the number of people taking the objective (1 people 1500, 2 people 750, 3 people 500, 4 people 375 ( and so on). this way people will be encouraged to start moving in smaller group thus eliminating the zerg mentality most player have now.

this is my thought, certainly there is a lot of things to be considered. so just give some input and let the devs know that this is an alternative to eliminate zerging.

1500 wxp is entirely to much for something so easy to solo. But far worst is the fact that you stepping in my circle (after i kill the guy solo it bloody well is) means i am suddenly getting only half the wxp.

Ofcourse i can also do the opposite on my Engineer, or Thief. While we wait in the circle for it to tick over, at the last moment i can throw a Stealth on you. Now you wont count towards the tick anymore, you will lose out on a reward, but i get more.

So id be rewarded for screwing over other people, and downright punished if i try to share the reward with other people by giving them a shot at it aswell.

well as i say this is an initial idea, need more polishing if it is going to work.
leeching is also an issue in this game since forever.
soloing a tower is never easy if that is what you say (at least in my server)

This game was built on the premise of cooperation and wanting to play with others. This mechanic like others said would make others hate you for standing in their sentry or camp circle. Since I can solo camps I would hate for others to come by to help or leech because I would get less rewards.

Zerging is absolutely not frowned upon. Every server zergs. This is a silly idea

Well it should be done the other way really, make a road guard scale to super hard mode when more then 20 people attack him. The whole equal reward thing is based of the fact that stuff scales. So make it scale and just not worth the effort for large groups to take small objectives.


It was 2 vs 20 but its ok we got’em both!

They will never do it because it makes some people feel “excluded”. You’d get told to go away if you try to blob-up a smallscale group.

Yes, those wittle feewings trump everything else, even if due to that they won’t implement mechanics to reduce the mindless zone blobbing that is ruining the game. Disgusting.
