BLC Weapon Skins
Selfish entitled players want everything and don’t think it’s fair that prestige items exist that they can’t get. Except they can: the skins are still availble on the TP.
Oh the cost is too high? So it’s greedy selfish entitled players who are also misers. Nice.
I find that the greedy players are the one’s who ask for gated elite content.
No offense but I hope to god they do NOT come back EVER… These should be something that people who have been around since the beginning have a priviledge of owning. They can go ahead and make new weapons but I will be EXTREMELY kittened off if they bring these back…
I’ve played every beta, played since 3 day head start, own these weapons, and disagree with you. These are holiday, festive items that took no skill to acquire in the first place.
All of these things required a ridiculous amount of gold and luck – that’s all. They’ve also completely redone the way items are awarded in-game (We’ve come a long way since throwing holiday items in BLC).
I for one disagree with you that these should not return simply because they originally took no skill or effort to get last year. Just luck or gold. Not sure why you’d be kitten ed off that items are returning for others to enjoy, but based on this (and every other thread I’ve seen you in this sub-forum) it seems that you are just an elitist.
Edit: To be clear I have tons of gold and have sold tons of precursors so buying these items would be no skin off my back. I just think it’s wrong for people to DEMAND that these awesome items remain exclusive to last years event.
Ever play GW1? Every item reward except for the festival hats returned year after year for Halloween and Christmas events so I’m going to suggest you get used to the idea that these items are not supposed to be hundreds of gold and beyond, nor should they be something that not everyone can enjoy.

If you were smart you would know that in gw1 polar bear minipets, or any rare minipet in that matter, did not return year after year. They were extremely rare and based on RNG farming, quite similar to the Halloween skins, where people would farm for keys to get the skins. Not everyone had the pleasure to enjoy a miniature vizu, island guardian, panda, grawl, zhed, etc. So on that base, I can safely presume that Anet will not be releasing these again.
Plus, if Guild Wars 2 wants to stay on top of their game I highly doubt that they will be re-releasing the same content year after year. Their main income is based purely on gem store sales and majority of players already have the skins. So you do the math big boy, because I’m sure their profit margin is much higher with new skins.
P.S. by the sounds of it, you sound exactly like one of those poor souls that didn’t get a skin during the event, so quit lying and complaining. Thanks.

It’s greedier to want something for cheap when other people have already busted their kitten to afford that same item. Currently, the only gate is how much effort you want to spend to get gold and if people want the skins to come back so that they have to work less at that than the new people who have just dropped 250+g for the skins over the summer, shame on their sense of entitlement.
I just think it’s wrong for people to DEMAND that these awesome items remain exclusive to last years event.

I’m not complaining. I’m also “Smart enough” being a GWAMM and having 50/50 (paid for by selling the mini polar bear I farmed for and eventually got – which was available as a drop every Wintersday) I can assure you that you know nothing about what you claim to know about.

I’m not demanding anything lol I’m saying that I think they should come back. Would I care if they did or didn’t? No. I already have them anyway but I don’t think that festive items should be exclusive to the people who can pay hundreds of gold for festive items.
Whether or not they come back won’t affect me – as I said. I just feel that everyone should have a chance at getting these without paying out the butt for them.

I don’t really care for the skins, but I really wanted Foostivoo the Merry for Christmas ~.~

I feel this is awesome approach going forward with new skins from now on. I just think it’s too late for the existing skins though since plenty of people have already paid “out the butt” and it would be completely unfair to undercut their efforts.

Did you even play Guild Wars 1? Because it sounds like you never did, and if you did you didn’t have enough experience to get close to the miniature market. The only 1 you got halfway right was the Mini Polar Bear and you didn’t need to farm “keys” to get that you just had to run a “dungeon” during wintersday over and over and hope to get that .00001% drop. The other minis you listed came from different PVP championships, contests and other promotional deals. Which means they have nothing to do with a holiday event.(FYI they brought back half of those in the 7th Year B-day presents also meaning they re-released them)
Edit: Should have kept reading because TehPwnerer tells you the same thing right after your post.

Why? Because they couldn’t wait the full year till the skins came back again? These skins did come from a holiday event that comes around once a year. It wasn’t like most of the living story parts that are a story and only makes sense to come up once then go away.

Because they said specifically that they wanted to preserve the value and prestige of limited time items by not bringing them back in multiple posts relating to other specific skins that were also limited time and sell-able drops (i.e. had an immediate market value upon release). SAB weapons that were RNG and had a market value is the most prominent example: they specifically said they weren’t coming back even when the the SAB returns in order to retain the prestige and value of the original weapon set. It’s bait and switch if they make a special exception for halloween weapons at this point.

I too am a GWAMM on my other account.
I do believe I know more then you regarding the minatures. Polar bears were not available every Wintersday, I am more then happy to show you all my rare miniature collection in GW1, including my polar bear. Not like you would have any proof.
Let’s put it this way: if they do bring them back it will drastically drop any value associated with RNG chests and limited skins, for me at least. I imagine quite a few other people would be less inclined to spend money on the store in the future since after all, it will come around later anyways.
I hope they keep the skins out of BLC’s.
Me too,Pay for RNG is the thing I hate the most about this game.

You must have misread my message. I stated that people had to farm “keys” for the Halloween items, not the miniature polar bear. As for the other miniatures, I was referring to the exclusiveness of each miniature for each contest. Think of the contests as holiday events. I’m sure nobody would give a kitten if they kept releasing the same miniature for every contest. FYI, they released the polar bear as birthday presents right after they released GW2. GW1 is dead.
And yes I have played GW1. I have a GWAMM title on one account and 41/50 on this.
EDIT: And btw, I have a polar bear, grawl, and ghostly hero mini dedicated in my hall of monument. So to answer your statement, I have played a fair share in the miniature market.

So basically in five years…..skins from the first year, second year, third year and fourth year should all be available. Yeah that makes perfect sense………people lol so greedy. I dont think they understand the concept of vanity items. If they played when they came out and didn’t them, they should’ve bought them when they could right away.

They would probably lose more business from players, for numerous reasons, then profit from doing that.
Those numerous reasons being that:
The skins are still available and the ones for sale are held by long term players who have likely invested more into the game (and store) than those who don’t have the skins, for whatever reasons. Rereleasing skins would actually hurt players who have a vested interest in the game, while those crying for them to be released again are newer players (spent less in store) or those who refuse to pay the gold (and since they are so frugal they probably don’t spend in store either).
Why should Anet poo on their spenders to appease the entitled cheapskates?

You paid more because it was new! If re-released the skins buy out right and cheaper than later skins, because the developing are paid for.
Also Anet kittenED UP by ripping so many players off last year. By introducing RNG BLC’s.

Gem store skins was never for prestige. That is why Anet made legendaries.
It does make sense, let me explain. If for some reason they do re-release the skins, the probability of a large group of people will quit. Why do I say this? 1. Because it was stated to be “gone forever” on the gem store during the last few days of the event. 2. Because there are people who have spent countless hours farming keys to obtain those skins, and will feel like they’ve been cheated. 3. Because there are a large amount of players who have spent large sums of money on BLC for those skins, and will feel like they’ve been cheated. 4. Some people play solely for the purpose of the market or being a collector. A great example of this would be Runescape’s partyhats, and many of their other discontinued items.
Lets just say they re-release the skins in the gem store. About 1000 players just quit, just an estimate, because of the terrible decision to release the skins again. About 300 people (being very generous with the estimate) will probably purchase it with real money, because like I said before, a majority of players already own at-least one of the Halloween skins. The majority of people who do not own one will purchase it with coin to gem conversion, leaving Anet with minimal profit. And because of the re-release of skins, people will automatically lose interest in buying any future skins because it will always be available to EVERYONE, hence leaving minimal sales to the “new” skins.
So now Anet is down many veteran players, loss of interest for sales by a mass majority of people, and loss of interest by potential new players who want to play solely to own a discontinued item for whatever reason.
Please tell me how this is good for business.

This this and more this… thank god some more people who understood what my point was regarding these…
Feel’s much better than self entitled people attacking me and calling me elitist over and over when I spread the wealth generously to guildies, friends, and even people I don’t know…
The main point here is Anet said they would not be back the final days of the Halloween event on the BL tab. They then reiterated their stance on items like these in a public statement quoted earlier in this thread. The baseball card analogy worked perfectly to describe this.
I think if the old skins did come back they should cost like 20 tickets a piece. They were a 1 time thing but I still thing that if you want to obtain them it should cost you ALOT or buy them for whatever the TP price is.
If Anet doesn’t want to give players a way to show their longevity via exclusive time limited skins that’s fine. They also shouldn’t expect veteran players to stick around either when the next mmo comes out. If every new player can come along and get the same look of a 3-4 year vet, there is no prestige. The high cost in the TP reflects paying for a prestige that is no longer available any other way. This is just like antiques.
This is a really good point. I was sort of “whatever” about whether or not the skins came back until i read this post. That makes a lot of sense.
IMHO, there should also be more items like the Fervid Censer. I don’t have one, but i want one SO bad. Unfortunately i can’t get one, but i am ok with that because i missed that event. I think it’s neat when we have items that show how long we’ve been around and what we’ve participated in. There is definitely prestige in that, and that’s cool by me.

Not quite the same look but there’s the Desert Rose skin on the TP

I have to say, it’s funny that both sides are using the same argument.
If you want your luck based reward to have more meaning than just, “it’s a skin I like to use,” or to force people to have to pay you for it because you happened to be lucky enough to get it you’re a greedy selfish entitled player. See how that falls into place. Greedy because you’re forcing people who either weren’t luck or never had the opportunity to pay exorbitant amounts for something that cost you nothing to acquire. Selfish because you don’t want them to have any other way to get it. Entitled because you happened to get it and still don’t want them to have the same options.
If you want another chance to get a skin other than having to go to great effort to pay for something that took no effort to acquire in the first place because you legitimately want to use it for its appearance and not at a pay day you’re a greedy selfish entitled player. No, that one doesn’t fit nearly so well. You’re not greedy for not wanting to pay hyper inflated prices one something, you’re frugal. You’re not selfish for wanting them to be available, that’s altruistic. You’re not entitled for want the option simply because it’s not a demand.
I do want it to be the case, I’ve always felt prestige items should be based on effort, not happenstance. Titles and achievements can be based on happenstance but actual items shouldn’t be. But I’m not insisting that’s the way it has to be because it’s not my game and ANet can do whatever they kitten well please with it. When someone insists that that is the only way it can be done and claims they will fly off the handle if it’s not done that way because they say so, that is entitled.

I see it the opposite way. Its you’re own fault for buying it at that price, you knew the risk, that it could be re-released next (this) Halloween. You guys (that buy them at that price) could have been patient and waited to see if Anet brings them back. Or for you guys that are trying to make even more money by not having them come back, you should have known there is a chance for them to come back, so try to sell your stuff while its high.
(And no I don’t have any of the skins, though I did/do kinda want the scythe skin. Still am very kitten ed over the jetpack not coming back also)
Those numerous reasons being that:
The skins are still available and the ones for sale are held by long term players who have likely invested more into the game (and store) than those who don’t have the skins, for whatever reasons. Rereleasing skins would actually hurt players who have a vested interest in the game, while those crying for them to be released again are newer players (spent less in store) or those who refuse to pay the gold (and since they are so frugal they probably don’t spend in store either). Why should Anet poo on their spenders to appease the entitled cheapskates?
I can’t speak for anyone else on my side of the fence (re-release them), but I’ve spent probably at least $300, maybe even $500 in the gemstore since the headstart, so no, not all of us are entitle or cheapskates.

I think if the old skins did come back they should cost like 20 tickets a piece. They were a 1 time thing but I still thing that if you want to obtain them it should cost you ALOT or buy them for whatever the TP price is.
They are not a 1 time thing, and it should not cost any BLC tickets. You should be able to craft the skins during the season when the content is actually released. After that when the season ENDS it should be BLC tickets only if ANET decides to do that.
The ONLY reason the prices were so high in the TP was because you had to spend real money in order to get these skins in the first place because it was RNG chance from BLC chests.
They should have never been able to be posted in the TP in the first place. ANET’s mistake.
Either way, I see NO REASON for them not to bring back all the skins from last year. Last year was a FIASCO and EVERYONE was mad at ANET for making the skins RNG out of BLC chests. Nobody could get them, only the pay2win kids did. This is ANETs chance to redeem itself for last years fiasco and I hope we can craft the skins we want this time.

I can’t agree more with this (except the thing about not being able to post them on the TP). Especially the last part. This is definitely a chance for Anet to redeem itself for the fiasco last year (and no, the mad king chest second chance thing was not an acceptable solution).

My 2cents: bring the skins back, keep them as difficult to get as they were last year.
I don’t see why that’s a problem. Obviously they were horrible RNG items, so what difference does it make if everyone has the same terrible RNG chance to get them this year as they did last year?
I’ve been here since Day 1, did all of the Halloween content, tried everything in my power to get The Crossing, but was not smiled upon by the RNG gods. So if those against having them come back are basically saying to me that I didn’t deserve it back then, even though I’m pretty sure I tried significantly harder to get it than some of the people who got lucky and got one, then you are all kittenholes. I should be allowed to beat the RNG pinata every year for a limited time to try and get those skins.
It’s a holiday event, not Living Story. The skins should be attempt-able every year on that Holiday. That would be the logical way to do it, not create completely new skins every year on that Holiday.
It’s a medical condition, they say its terminal….

No, Don’t make getting the skins as difficult as last year. Paying REAL money to GAMBLE on skins ??? No one wants that.
I just think it’s wrong for people to DEMAND that these awesome items come back so that they can get them cheaper than what the going rate the players have been paying is.
It’s good business for old gem store skins to come back at a reduced price.
They would probably lose more business from players, for numerous reasons, then profit from doing that.
Bull, does not make any sense at all!
Anet kitten ED a lot of players off with their first RNG boxes. Many of them left the game and didn’t come back. The ones that are left, still feel ripped off.
I myself only bought 5 keys last year and stop once I realized the scam.
If you have one of those skins. You are incredibly lucky to even get one. If you had not, you would feel cheated.
Greedy because you’re forcing people who either weren’t luck or never had the opportunity to pay exorbitant amounts for something that cost you nothing to acquire.
But people that have it now HAVE been paying exorbitant amounts. It’s greedy to want it to come back so you can pay less than what other people have already been paying.
Selfish because you don’t want them to have any other way to get it.
This argument is clearly dead in the water since you can still buy them. Strawman.
Entitled because you happened to get it and still don’t want them to have the same options.
That isn’t even even close to the definition of “entitled”. Entitled would be someone feeling entitled to get a rare skin for less effort or money that what people have been the past year by having more released into the market.
If you want another chance to get a skin other than having to go to great effort to pay for something that took no effort to acquire in the first place because you legitimately want to use it for its appearance and not at a pay day you’re a greedy selfish entitled player.
More like, “if you don’t want to work for gold and pay a high price just like everyone else who has worked for this item in the past year, you’re greedy and entitled.” That’s what it come down to: you’re basically asking to get something for less work/money than lots of people have already invested
I see it the opposite way. Its you’re own fault for buying it at that price, you knew the risk, that it could be re-released next (this) Halloween. From their posts online regarding things like the jetpack and SAB skins (sell-able RNG skins from a returning event) they’ve presented a strong statement about not making limited time items easier to get in the future, if at all. If they bring these weapons back in a way that’s just as easy or easier to obtain as last year, they’ve completely mislead the community with their posts. It’s not the player’s fault for buying into what they’ve been telling us about handling these types of items.

Yes, those who couldn’t wait a year and had to have it now paid out the nose for something that was sold by people who did nothing to get it in the first place and charged them as much. And even if they became available again the same thing would be true by the time they weren’t anymore because there will always be people willing to pay.
Selfish because you don’t want them to have any other way to get it.
This argument is clearly dead in the water since you can still buy them. Strawman.
I’ll give you a hint. Having to buy them from the market was the way selfish people want others to be forced to use to obtain them. You don’t want them to have any other way to get them except from the market, that’s selfish. Until, of course, they run out at which point there really will be no more of them ever if they’re not reintroduced to the market. Do you understand now?
Entitled because you happened to get it and still don’t want them to have the same options.
That isn’t even even close to the definition of “entitled”. Entitled would be someone feeling entitled to get a rare skin for less effort or money that what people have been the past year by having more released into the market.
Sorry, but you can’t count the effort the slavoring masses used to buy them from the market as the definition of how much effort is necessary to obtain them since the people who obtained them initially put forth zero effort and just got lucky. They feel that since they got it and you didn’t you should be beholden to them to get it and that is entitled.
The slavoring masses will still be there, and they will still pay.
If you want another chance to get a skin other than having to go to great effort to pay for something that took no effort to acquire in the first place because you legitimately want to use it for its appearance and not at a pay day you’re a greedy selfish entitled player.

Lots of people, just none of the people who got them in the first place. You’re Big Skin. Don’t interfere with my market, I have a monopoly on this and I need those hundreds of gold I’m forcing people to pay because they have no other options. Renewing the market is a good thing. Cutting your prices is a good thing. It isn’t like they won’t go back up anyway.

First off, SAB skins were obtainable every single time you opened each of the three end chests for each of your characters every day. It cost nothing to play and depending on how many characters you had could be done a significant amount each day. Plus it only took 15 minutes max to blaze through it. In fact, you can even say you had to work for SAB skins because you did at least have to actually complete a zone to have a chance at a skin. You didn’t just obtain an item that too no effort to get and then luck out. You had to put in some effort to get to that chest. People legitimately grinded for SAB skins, hell I did and I still only got two.
I’m not familiar with the Jetpack, but I’m under the impression that it was a similar situation. It cost you nothing to enter, but required effort to reach the end, enter as many times as you wish.
Limiting something like that is WORLDS different than limiting something from BLC. An item that took nothing to obtain, and then buy the key, which typically involved real money, then getting lucky without expending any effort at all. The Halloween event defined how they would do these rewards because they would never do it that way again. It was a complete fiasco, and so forcing people to live with it as the only option would be a terrible decision when they now have the opportunity to correct it.
I would also like to state that at no point has any Dev said never. They said they would not be for x event, they didn’t say this item will never be seen again anywhere but the trading post. And that is a statement they make because that’s exactly what they said about Mini Pet Series I.

Jetpack (and mini firestorm) were random drops from doing the Molten Alliance Weapons Facility dungeon. MF was only around for ~12 days (I do remember that it wasn’t the full 2 weeks). Dungeon usually took a half hour (iirc) to complete, though that was with a good group. I ran the thing at least twice a day (more on the weekends) and still didn’t get either of the two things. I put in the work and got jack (other than infrequently an exotic sentinel inscription), whereas some people got either of the two on their first kittening run.
At least with SAB I was able to grind the dungeon(?) every day with at least 7 characters (yeah it got extremely boring and a pain in the end) and get the account bound green named skins (I’m glad I did that now though, since they removed them all). Even though I got all the skins, it was frustrating knowing that others (and I) wouldn’t be able to get any of the skins from the first release.

But in both cases it was a reward for actually completing content, not just a thing in a box that you could buy.

True, but still RNG based (in the case of the MF stuff, as well as the monocle in AR). I don’t see those as prestige items, cause there were more people there doing the, yet most of us got screwed, all cause of the kitten RNG system.

Skins are still there guys. You can get them right now.
Anet would make more money by not releasing them again. Period. Why? Gems>gold conversion due to the prices set by the players.
It would be illogical to release them again; specially when the store said they would be gone forever.

The baseball card metaphor is dead on. You buy a bunch of packs hoping to get a rookie card and probably get a ton of doubles or cards you don’t want (tansformation tonics). If you don’t get a rookie card, you can go buy one directly for more money from the store. Down the road, if you go to buy that same rookie card it’s far more expensive but that doesn’t mean you get to demand that they re-issue the same card, in the same edition, just so you can get it for the cheaper price again.
Not everyone has the ability to get something when the only way to get it is random chance. It isn’t like these were special rewards for an event or contest. It was pure chance. If they were a reward for doing something I could accept them being unavailable, assuming the thing they were a reward for became unavailable.
Except this is completely inaccurate and doesn’t apply here since you can buy them on the TP and people have been doing so for the past year. The weapons have an established market value that people have been grinding to achieve based on the notion that they were a limited time offer.
SAB weapons were sell-able RNG weapons and they said they wouldn’t bring them back and effect value. The Jetpack was a limited-time, sell-able RNG item that they said they wouldn’t bring back and effect value/prestige. The halloween weapons are a sell-able RNG item and if they make is easily available (i.e. not 5 tickets) then they’re being completely misleading with their posts about protecting the prestige and value of limited time event items. They screw over anyone who just grinded 240 g to buy something based on statements regarding how they were going to treat such items.
Considering you got it because you were lucky and didn’t do any actual work for it everything you get no matter how low is profit.
Complete bullkitten. People have busted their kitten for the gold to buy expensive skins under the pretense that they would be treated like the SAB and jetpack sell-able exclusives.
what about jade weapons they completely screwed that one over rng wise they where a 250g item but then they ticketed them and they dropped to 25g. I also want to point out that winter day weapons came out as ticketed so we can probly expect Halloween weapons to fallow suit.
I’d respond point by point but it will just get too long.
I’ll give you a hint. Having to buy them from the market was the way selfish people want others to be forced to use to obtain them.
lol. This system was not set up by selfish players to force people to do anything. It was the system that ANET set up to allow people to trade them. Pretending the TP doesn’t exist and that there aren’t people working hard and spending lots of money for these skins right now is completely disingenuous.
The “you can’t count the effort people put forth to get money to buy skins” claim is a ridiculous argument. The skins are still there. You can still buy them just like everyone else. Just because you didn’t get one to drop last year doesn’t mean your entitled to pay less than what everyone else now pays.
First off, SAB skins were obtainable every single time you opened each of the three end chests for each of your characters every day. It cost nothing to play and depending on how many characters you had could be done a significant amount each day.
The fact that it cost nothing for RNG chance “A” instead of RNG chance “B” is completely immaterial. In fact, you proposed an absolutely great argument for not having the halloween skins return if the SAB ones aren’t: people who got the halloween skins spent real money so if you undercut the value of their purchase, you’re screwing your paying customers. SAB winners didn’t loose any money.
People legitimately grinded for SAB skins, hell I did and I still only got two.
And plenty of people legitimately grinded for keys and gold for the halloween skins. In fact, anyone who got one this past year had to get gold SOMEHOW to get one. It’s the exact same situation. To bring up the term “selfish” again, it’s incredibly egocentric to hold up your grind as legitimate and then claim that other people’s grinds aren’t legitimate or don’t even exist.
An item that took nothing to obtain…
You keep repeating this like it’s true. People have busted their kitten for these items. If you find a piece of gold on the ground, you don’t get to pretend it has no market value and that people don’t bust their kitten for that same commodity. Do you expect to receive diamond engagement rings for 5$ at the jewelry store because someone could have found that diamond for “free” at some point?
The baseball card metaphor is dead on. You buy a bunch of packs hoping to get a rookie card and probably get a ton of doubles or cards you don’t want (tansformation tonics). I want to point out to you that those “wintersday skins” and all of those other skins became available on the same day for tickets, all except for the halloween skins. So you tell me why that is.

This halloween is no exception. WE’re gonna be able to CRAFT the skins this time and that’s how it should have been done last year.
Paying REAL money to GAMBLE on skins ??? No one wants that.
Well, that was my idea for a compromise with the ones clamoring for them to not become available. My preference is absolutely that you should be able to obtain them in a difficult, but achievable way. No RNG, just a difficult way to obtain. Like SAB trib mode skins. There was no RNG in any way. You finish the trib levels, you get what you need to make the weapon. It is still an exclusive weapon because not everyone had the patience to complete that content. Or the Liadri mini pet. It’s unique and isn’t RNG based, you had to complete above average hard content to get it.
IMO that is the proper way to do exclusive skins, not complete RNG from a $ based item. I already resolved after the Jade weapon fiasco that I would never spend another penny on RNG weapon skins. I got my staff, but I had to dish out some serious gold to get it, almost 100g, whereas, and this is absolutely NO joke, a guildie had gotten FOUR EFFING WEAPON TICKETS within 500 chests. I mean….WHAT. THE. PUCK. He would be on vent laughing about how he got yet another ticket, all the while I’m opening chest after chest after chest and nada.
Sour? Oh hell yea.

WTF? He bought/farmed 500ish keys (maybe less cause some were bound to drop another key)?
Please give us a keyring…
It still amazes me people still think the idea of rereleasing skins every year is a good idea instead of focusing on brand new ones. THE FACT THAT YOU HAD THE CHANCE, to buy it for 20g-50g AFTER halloween was over, yet people still complain, does not make any sense. Even if you did not get lucky, you could’ve bought it off the trade post for quite some time before the price skyrocketed. Now that it cost so much everyone is throwing fits about it and now want another chance to get it. Focusing on newer skins is much more important than rereleasing old ones. I don’t want 100 halloween skins when the fifth year comes around. Thats just plain stupid
“Best Guardian NA”
Thanks.
I too am a GWAMM on my other account.
I do believe I know more then you regarding the minatures. Polar bears were not available every Wintersday, I am more then happy to show you all my rare miniature collection in GW1, including my polar bear. Not like you would have any proof.
Just a FYI…….before claiming other posters are ignorant you might want to fact check a bit.
In GW1 the mini Polar Bear was available every year from 2007 on. It was a chance drop from Wintersday’s Chests at the end of Strength of Snow and Straight to the Heart quests, also as a random chance in 2012 from the Wintersday Grab Bags. So yes the mini polar bear skin returned year after year.
Also for gw1 accounts that had 7th years b-days there was a chance to get several previously exclusive minis. Those included Oni, Naga Raincaller, Shiro’ken Assassin, Zhed Shadowhoof, and Vizu.
That aside, last year I did way too many key runs. From those run I was able to get several of the Halloween skins including Ghastly Grinning Shield. I in absolutely no way would feel invalidated if they brought the skins back this years. I would actually welcome them as those who were not as fortunate with rng last year may have another shot. Granted I don’t agree with the severe rng nature of it all, but oh well.
