a wise elder called the dwarven masters together (for those of you that don’t know, dwarfs and Gint were pretty tight, in their main city they had a statue of her) and SHE put them in charge of HER HERITAGE (Gint had dwarfs guarding her firstborn/hatched offspring) the zephyrites are dependents of humans that took over guarding the unnamed elder’s heritage and learned the elements while guarding it, and took to the skys. given the affinity of crystals here, and the sheer number of zephyrites that are praising Glint/singing about Glint/telling the children she was the greatest dragon of all…. anyone else think the zephyrites are guardians of Glint’s offspring, hatched and un-hatched eggs, glint her self was not a very big dragon so it would be possible that there could be dragonlings hidden on the ship her hatching was smaller than a drake in GW1, would also allow them to raise dragons in secret.

So maybe we get the crystal desert soon?

Way living story is unfolding id say we will get more council drama, perhaps queen catching cold, but hardly crystal desert. :/

We have been discussing this in the Lore forum. It seems very likely that the Zephyrites will play a large role as the plot continues, in particular with relation to the EDs. They may even be involved in us discovering what the EDs are exactly and how they came to be in the first place (if anyone would have an idea, then Glint would).

As for Glint’s size, her discription in Destiny’s Edge had her as quite alot larger than what she was in GW1. Its always possible that the Glint we met in that game was an illusion or a aspect of Glint. After all she did dogfight Kralkatorik in the air and even though she was much smaller than him, considering his size she cant have been that small.

@kriza krimos: We are mostly seeing the foundation for future story so far but they have done alot of groundwork (and groundwork is important in large scale storytelling. We have seen the corruption of the Ministry plot line touched on through the introduction of Marjory and Kasmeer, we have seen several events with unknown backers to establish a larger consperacy at work and now we have the EDs story getting some set up.

As Arenanet has gotten its stride its story has been getting better. If the LS improves in the next 6 months as much as it has in the past 6 then its going to be very interesting.

Hmm I heard them singing, but I must of skipped over the Glint bits, but this is exciting news. I really can’t wait to fight another dragon. Also their tie in with Glint could be how they’re able to fly around the world without the other dragons/dragon minions bothering them (a throwback to Glint hiding in a grain of sand maybe?).

I just wasn’t sure who the Zephyrites, were suppose to tie into. I swear I saw something inflicted, which made me think of Cantha, and then the big tie in with the Dwarfs (forgot about the Glint/Dwarf tie in).

I’m just not looking forward too much to the election LS next, as I don’t see how it’ll relate to the overarching story yet.

I can turn on news and see same stories, im here for killing dragons and monsters not playing policeman on festivals, and discovering corruption of some in-game Berlusconi.
After 4 months i must say im beeing more and more disapointed with LS.

If you listen to the idle chatter of the teacher and her students at the front of the boat by the goggles, she talks about Glint and that she cared for humans or something like that. And also some other stuff about the elder dragons.

Yup, getting real tired of the over used “Hey look a festival! Oh no something has gone horribly wrong that you must fix while letting this NPC take credit!” Seriously… these ‘ground work’ stories are so disjunct its been pretty boring. F&F connected to Dragon Bash how? Aetherblades come out of nowhere (while blimp tech is still in its infancy… come on, be consistent) and now who cares about them!

I got to say though, this story FINALLY seems to be connected to the already established Tyrian lore because of Glint. Anet doesnt need to reinvent this games lore every 2 weeks so hopefully we can keep going on this story that actually has a connection to the world.

They’re definitely hiding something. I met an asura with tingly ears up on that ship you know, it doesn’t get much more conclusive than that.

Oh my god, they shattered the eggs and used them for crystals to power their ship!

I just hope they aren’t mad at Destiny’s Edge for Glint’s death.
I know they spoke of Eir and it sounded somewhat fond, but then again they could blame the group for her death and go crazy.

This I think will answer many questions about their links to Glint… and how the relate to the EDs.

I found myself wondering if we will see a future zephyrite profession…

That’s pretty interesting. Though at first I though we killed Glint at the end of the dragon’s lair mission, her vision appeared later in Droknar’s Forge. So looking back, I do believe that what we faced in the dragon’s lair was indeed merely an aspect of Glint. Like the six aspects before her.
