A vote for Evon supports RNG boxes, the true scourge of GW2. Down with RNG and down with Evon!
But fall of abaddon!
Don’t fall for Gnashblade’s act! He’s a Krait oil salesman! He’d sell his own warband for a chance at power and profit!
Don’t look at it this way. Anet learned something from the past, look at the Bazaar items.
Or maybe you really think that with Kiel there won’t be RNGs anymore. Ha-ha.

Of course not. But in-game, Gnashblade is responsible for everything sold by the BLTC.

So you would rather have a game without any kind of market?
Everyone keeps calling Evon for the RNG… but you know what?
WITHOUT EVON THERE IS NO SELLING STUFF TO OTHER PLAYERS AND EASY LISTINGS OF ITEMS TO SELL AND BUY
If we want to blame him for the bad stuff about the gem store that really is about the developers as he’s a fictional character, then lets blame him for the good stuff too!!
(edited by Lokheit.7943)
I never buy Black Lion Keys. I always use waypoints. The choice is pretty easy…
That said, I’m disappointed that we only get EITHER Fall of Abbadon or Thaumanova Reactor. Both are very interesting to me. I’ll be going with Kiel just for the waypoints, I guess. Plus I like her better as a character.
Give me more RNG and More EVON!
It is true; elect Kiel and there will still be RNG, and elect Evon and there will still be waypoints. But which would you prefer – save money on waypoints which you almost certainly will use, or save money on keys that will still be a scam, just slightly less of one?
Of course, if it emerges that Evon is proposing a 95-99% price cut on keys, I’ll quickly change my tune…
The black lion corporation has been milking the citizens of Tyria for too long. Behind the mask of honesty, these thieves and con-artists have been cheating us our of our rewards for far too long! Promoters of slavery, gambling, and cutthroat tactics, they have been weighting the currency exchange for years in their favor and have been using their monopolized trading company to control market prices of all goods, and currencies so we all stay poor and they all stay rich. Who is the leader of this despicable organization?
Evon Gnashblade!
So Vote for Evon if you love RNG
Vote for Evon if you love the mystic toilet,
Vote for Evon if you love that all dungeons have the same rewards regardless of time spent.
Vote for Evon if you want more random event boxes that suck your wallet dry and leave you empty and without reward.
Vote for Evon if you want Lions arch, and Tyria… the whole of guild wars2, to be run by money grubbing merchants more interested in profits than the good of the people.
Vote for Evon if you love to be swindled out of your heard earned time and money on chests akin to gambling on a shell game.
Vote for Evon if you believe the shills who boast to you the glory of RNG, who against your good reasoning try to convince you that it isn’t fraud!
Vote for Evon if you no longer care about the fate of Tyria!

It’s all good if you’re on the same side as Evon, don’t be the sucker, be the player
Everyone does realize that if Keil wins, the Cheaper Waypoints is only temporary, right?
Vote Evon, Fall of Abbaddon, if you want Thermanova, go to Metrica Province, it’s already there.
I vote Evon! I vote for ruthless capitalism! Yeah
I vote Evon! I vote for ruthless capitalism! Yeah
YES!
Rather than lower the key gem cost Gnashblade should have promised to lower the Auction House fees by a small amount for 4 weeks. That would have had a similar effect as the Keil offering.
Why do people act as if voting for Kiel will stop RNG? As if the in-game characters control what the developers put into the game.
Kiel will win anyway. We’ve spent more time with her throughout the LS, so of course she’ll win. The majority won’t vote for a guy they barely know. Frankly I don’t care who wins. Cutthroat Politics sounds like it will be a nothing release. They have one thing listed under features. Maybe they’ll add more, but I somehow doubt it. Still holding out for that blog post and future content.
Everyone does realize that if Keil wins, the Cheaper Waypoints is only temporary, right?
Vote Evon, Fall of Abbaddon, if you want Thermanova, go to Metrica Province, it’s already there.
You want the Fall of ABbaddon go play GW1 Nightfall.
#Vote Kiel, cheaper waypoint > supporting RNG cash boxes.
Evon looks goofy on his poster. Hes smiling, but smiling is awkward for a charr with giant teeth. Also they drew his eyes all big (relatively) and soft looking. Lol.
If a vote for Evon is a vote for RNG, then a vote for Kiel is a vote for Trahearne and Kormir.
Everyone does realize that if Keil wins, the Cheaper Waypoints is only temporary, right?
So are the key discounts.
You want the Fall of ABbaddon go play GW1 Nightfall.
I know all there is to know about the fall of Abbaddon. He was being a kitten, I hit him with my sword over the course of many minutes… He fell.
Down with RNG!
Down with the black lion trading company!
Down with Evon!
I never buy Black Lion Keys. I always use waypoints. The choice is pretty easy…
This.
I vote Evon! I vote for ruthless capitalism! Yeah
YES!
Cheers for charr and cheers for that ruthless capitalism.
You want the Fall of ABbaddon go play GW1 Nightfall.
I know all there is to know about the fall of Abbaddon. He was being a kitten, I hit him with my sword over the course of many minutes… He fell.
I believe that the fall of Abbaddon they are talking about is the first time, not the one we as players experienced in gw1.

Night Fall has the death of Abbadon, not his fall. Not when he was imprisoned in the Realm of Torment. Not when the Crystal Sea was dried and turned into a desert. The fall of Abbadon was an all out brawl between himself and the other human gods. I’m sorry, but this beats an Inquest experiment gone wrong.
So vote Evon Gnashblade!!!
If a vote for Evon is a vote for RNG, then a vote for Kiel is a vote for Trahearne and Kormir.
That’s hilarious. That’s exactly what I was thinking.
The only thing that will make this any better and make the kiel fans rage, is if Rytlock comes makes an appearance into LA to support a fellow charr.
Stout beers all around as we bring this town back to it’s pirate roots!
CHEERS!
~Evon For Council~
Charrs unite under the Banner of Evon Gnashblade! Lets support our fellow Charr and show those humans we still hold a grudge for Ascalon!
Also a Vote for Evon is a vote for Safer Black Lion Trading Post!
You want the Fall of ABbaddon go play GW1 Nightfall.

Down with RNG!

Down with Evon!
Just to be clear, it has been stated directly by the developers now that the Fall of Abaddon refers to the time where he was cast out by the gods and sent to the realm of torment. Now that this has been stated I hope that Gnashblade wins, the fractal has amazing potential.
We wouldn’t need to pay for waypoints if Kiel didn’t steal the air ship we acquired at the end of Sky Pirates.

It’s before gw1, and the story of the 5 gods taking on abbadon is just a hands down win, who cares of kielhern and her temporary waypoint reduction which I’m sure would be barely noticeable.
You want to see the reactor? go to metrica province and see what you can already see. Or would you rather go and see something no player in gw1 or gw2 has seen before?
Anet will continue releasing RNG boxes regardless of who we vote for. They know how we feel about them and they don’t really care. Fall of Abaddon is just too awesome to resist.
i’m just really looknig forward to how the story will change depending on who gets voted.D
i’m defs more intrigued by Fall of Abaddon. and i love Charr. too much emphasis on humans. heck, i’m one IRL. XDD

Vote Evon, Fall of Abbaddon, if you want Thermanova, go to Metrica Province, it’s already there.
Uh, the key discount is temporary as well. Besides, not everyone buys keys. Everyone uses waypoints.

We already know what happened with Abbadon, We know exactly what happened to the crystal desert and we know the series of events leading up to it.
It’s like voting for a movie version of a good book. We already know the story.
Vote for Kiel for a new story, more content and down with RNG
Vote for Ellen not some randomcharr and his rng boxes. And who cares about Abadude, old stuff.
Kiel for council!

Exactly! A vote for Evon is a vote for RNG! Love me some RNG! Cheap keys and Abaddon fractal! Woo frakin’ whoo!!!
Game Update Notes
LIVING WORLD
- Evon Gnashblade has won the seat on the Lion’s Arch Captain’s Council. For the next two weeks he will be near the lion fountain where you can congratulate him. He will reward you for your support with a back piece that looks like a slot machine.
- Black Lion Chests now have a rare chance to drop a Mouth of Torment Key. The Mouth of Torment Key is a soulbound consumable that adds the new Fall of Abaddon Fractal to the fractal roll table for your party for one hour. Mouth of Torment Keys can only be obtained from Black Lion Chests, and only for a limited time!
BLACK LION TRADING COMPANY GEM STORE
- Black Lion Keys are now on sale for 20% off! Get your Mouth of Torment Keys while you still can!
Fixed that for you. There is no way they will just give you the keys for gems, you got to RNG for it and put an unnecessary and vague time-limit on it!
(P.S. Gibson, your post made my day.)
You want the Fall of ABbaddon go play GW1 Nightfall.
#Vote Kiel, cheaper waypoint > supporting RNG cash boxes.
First sentence has been covered, nuff said there.
1st of all, I don’t think either of the two of us know how much they will actually reduce prices by (but the word ‘slash’ tends to indicate a larger cut than ‘reduce,’ which could mean 1% or 45% for all we know), so you are judging prematurely. 2nd of all, Anet can read the forums and knows just how much we kittening HATE RNG, but they can only do what NCsoft tells them to. Evon is often called out for being ‘supportive’ of the whole RNG thing, but keep in mind the NAME. Black Lion Trading Company a.k.a the Trading Post. They do not control what goods go through their system or who receives them, they are just the company that facilitates the transaction and takes a small fee for their work.

Sounds like you are passing the buck there.
If Evon is so useless and uninformed that he allows his company, the company he owns solely to support a product line that he himself does not support then why would the citizens of Lion’s Arch want him on the council at all.
If as you infer the company and Evon himself doesn’t support RNG then let him show it with his actions. Remove the RNG items from his company’s listings! Do not try to create some sort of free trade ideal with the black lion trading company, to do not sell slaves (at least publicly, this remains to be proven) so they understand that some things, are so wrong their transactions should not be facilitated at all.
Lets not forget the most prominent and longest lasting, only permanent RNG unit in Tyria. The black lion chest, locked, unbreakable chests with goods inside spread throughout the poor and unfortunate masses to give them a false hope of something… food or clothing inside. Only to milk them dry by selling keys, Keys that Evon knows will most likely result in only garbage.

What I am saying is more like this: say you go to a store and buy a bag of chips. Now, the chips in the bag may be a week stale, but you weren’t paying attention when you bought it and now you are not happy with the stale chips. The store did not open up the bags to double check their contents before putting it on the shelves. They merely facilitate the transaction of buying chips with going to the chip-baker and trading in some ink you have for your bag of chips.
