I am not the person in the photo and he said around 2000g

there are 3 million registered copies of guild wars sold, 50% of them probaly dont play anymore or wont participate in cuthroat politics, 20% of that remaining 50% will only put in a handful of votes (less than 10) and more than half (from the public jabber iv heard) are voting for evon aswell……his 21 thousand votes is starting to look somewhat significant afterall!
well with so many people seeming to lean evon right now, maybe not. From what i’ve heard in game and on the forums, evon has the lead because of his fractal. People think it’ll be more epic to see the fall of abaddon as opposed to the many possibilities of the thaumanova reactor. They’ve convinced themselves that the thaumanova fractal will suck, even though the people that came up with the ideas for the fractals are more excited about the thaumanova fractal.

The 3 million sales figure is 8 months old, your other ‘statistics’ are pulled out of thin air. Even if only 1 million votes were cast (its going to be way more than that), he would only have 2% of the total votes.
Wow, that’s a lot of mouse clicks.
maybe photoshoped?

If that’s the case then they need to stop being such kittens and tell us why it’s awesome, ‘cause it sounds like crap. They can’t honestly expect many people to vote for it with nothing more to go on than “An Asuran lab blew up!”.

Exactly what i’ve said, you don’t have any frame of reference and have already decided the thaumanova fractal will suck.
The thaumanova reactor is warping the fabric of reality around it, pulling in creatures across space, time, and even other realities. What is powerful enough to do that? Why did it explode? Did it explode? There is no trace of whatever it was. Maybe it just went away and destroyed the lab and whatever it is is still out there.

As a historic event these questions aren’t that interesting. As a progression of the world as it currently exists they are. Solving mysteries of the past doesn’t mean much when we know how it turns out in the end. The weakness of the reactor is that it’s a recent event that doesn’t really have a tangible impact on most of the world – and we can already explore it today. Aside from creatures in random places, it’s fairly irrelevant in the bigger picture. Fractals are limited to replaying past events, they don’t progress the story, they are just cool things that happened and their primary value is visual and gameplay. They are actually poor delivery mechanisms for story, with minimal to no dialogue or story.
The fact that they don’t plan on implementing them both means they have no plans to advance either plot outside of fractals. The primary pull of the reactor isn’t the event itself, it’s the consequences of the event, and that’s not what’s on the table.

The same thing could be said about the abaddon fractal. The event has already taken place and we know the outcome.
From what some anet employees have said on the forums, I assume each fractal will have some effect on the world at large. If we choose the fall of abaddon fractal, we open the gate to a fallen god. If we choose the thaumanova reactor fractal, we open a link to whatever created that energy to every event in the past, present, and future.
I think the thaumanova reactor fractal will have a much longer lasting effect on the world at large.
Clearly photoshopped, just look at the inventory slots used: 22/160.

What I’m saying is an encounter with a god and a war between gods is a guarantee for an awesome visual and gameplay experience. Visually the reactor exists in the game, we’ve seen it so a lot of its appeal is lost on that fact alone. I’m sure they have some cool mobs or partical effects or events that will happen during the fractal, but we have no idea what they are and they are still competing with an actual war between gods. Creatures coming through portals, how can that beat a war between gods on a visual scale?
Yes both fractals are past events, but the primary interest of the reactor is in its story relevance to today’s world. Having it as a fractal does nothing to take advantage of that. The strength of the Abaddon fractal is a visual and epic battle.
Where are you getting that either fractal will have changes in the world today? The gate to Abaddon’s realm is already open, it’s in the Crystal Desert. We opened it and went through it in GW1 (assuming it didn’t close since then). I haven’t read anything from devs saying that we will get anything more than just the fractal itself.
This is significant in showing the decay of our society. Virtue is certain becoming a lost concept. #smh

I’m assuming from dev posts on the forums.
It seems to be alluding to something.
and while we’re at it https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/livingworld/cutthroat/IMO-ArenaNet-favors-Evon-Unfair/first#post2473277
That brings to a thought something Rainbow…how will we REALLY know who won? How do we know that this isn’t already rigged in one candidate’s favor by Anet, and we won’t ever find that out?
PvE Main – Zar Poisonclaw – Daredevil
WvW Main – Ghost Mistcaller – Herald
We don’t. It’s not like they have much to lose either way, so I doubt they will rig it. Whether or not the black lion keys are going to be cheaper, those skins are going to sell themselves anyway. In fact, they might even prefer Kiel to win considering the initial reaction to weapon tickets and scraps for future weapons.
Photoshop for two reasons… one the inventory count is off, second look at the stack of 69 tokens. That stack and the rest of the empty inventory slots in that row are a couple pixels lower, which means one thing… photoshop!
I’d be really disappointed if this was fake! :|
We need to co-ordinate the Gnashblade campaign!

It’s fake. Look at the number of inventory slots it says have been used. Then count the stacks of gnashblade tokens.
Vayra – Elementalist
Forkrul Assail – Mesmer

What we need is a money-bomb where everyone donates 1g.
even anet wants evon to win.! you can see it at the representation banners part at the patch notes.. it would take a miracle for ellen kiel to win!!
And when the rewards were first leaked people were saying ANET wants Kiel to win. ANET as a development team has no preference for either to win. The community just loves their tinfoil hats.
That said I’m fully ready to believe a couple people HAVE spent that much gold/money for their candidate even if this particular screenshot is fake.

People just want gw1 lore and they are willing to sacrifice gw2 lore.
The votes from players will likely be even for the most part. One may have a lead but it won’t be significant enough that someone can’t manipulate the vote count for a candidate.
I’m actually planning to use all of my profit that I make in July from the trading post to go towards Kiel. There’s really nothing worth buying in this game right now and it’s time the account did something other than play on the trading post.
Sweet mama jama. I will do my best to measure up.
Go team Gnashblade!
So typical for gnashblade supporters to go into cheating and faking. Your master taught you well.
And who cares about the gods battle, they got wiped out by dragons so they weren’t so impressive to begin with.
We on the other hand killed a dragon who defeated gods.
Oh look, someone who spends hundreds of dollars in the gemstore.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. No, really. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Cheating? Faking, maybe (probably if you look closely). But Cheating? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
As to the rest. What proof do you have that the Dragons wiped out the gods? Quoting someone that works for the dragon who benefits from demoralizing a massive part of the fighting force aligned against it? Yeah, that’s credible.
And yeah, we DID kill a dragon. Imagine what a few beings, each individually with more power than the entirety of what we used to kill one ourselves, could do when working together? Wiped out by the dragons. PFFFF. It would take the dragons all working together to even stand a chance, and the dragons get along about as well as the Humans and Charr did before the death of Abaddon and rise of Kormir.
What I’m saying is an encounter with a god and a war between gods is a guarantee for an awesome visual and gameplay experience.
Woah there, partner. Just how does this concept which, so far, only really exists on “paper” guarantee anything, especially an “awesome gameplay experience?” Lean whichever way you like, but it would be a good idea to not go believing anything is guaranteed.
Realistically, given what we do know from the Fractal system we already have, it’s going to be a near storyless mini instance that may showcase an interesting quirk or two but is ultimately designed more for intended replayability than for epicness.

Wow that person is awesome. Go Evon.
He is a hero. A real legend.

Noob Fakes everywhere.
22/160 slots in use. really like a newbie using his pirate version of photoshop (Or even MS Paint, its a stupid Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V) .
And for the maths above, only me playing casually spend over 500 votes in kiel playing casually. That means that each player in the game, casually you put at least 100~~200 votes for it candidate.
Anyway, I’m reporting the Op for posting fake content, this is offensive.

I’m pretty sure both fractals will not be as amazing as people think. Just look at the ones we have now. None of them really tell a story. Only half are ones that people prefer to run. If the new fractal was like Cliffside or Dredge then it will be skipped by most players.

Because those fractals are there for the purpose to show that everything can happen in the mists, or just to create mystery.
But this one will be created to tell a story.

More key sales = more money for Anet, that’s what they want. The chests have never been known to drop anything great. Don’t let them fool you.
Don’t support the Gem Shop, it’s that easy.
Just by using the drops that come from playing, and then spending gems on one support pack to get the dual count buff, I put 812 votes in for Kiel this morning. That’s 406 support tickets doubled. If I get more than 150 by the 5th, I’ll most likely buy the buff again just to double the votes.
