Has it been confirmed anywhere if the two Dragon Ball achievements really dont count towards maxing 10 out? Or are they both just bugged and dont count yet?

I find it hard to believe anet would make these achievements not matter but talking to 8 npcs standing right next to eachother does…

Maybe it is because they don’t want people to feel forced to pvp. I surely hope they are bugged, though.

So it is the two Dragon Ball achievements that don’t count? Trying to pick what to ignore.

Right now they don’t. I am stuck at 6/10 and I have all the achievements that can be done right now.

I only have the compete in 20 done, but I don’t even want to put in the effort to get the last 8 wins if it’s not going to count..

Well not making people feel forced would be a good thing if it wasn’t for the fact that you don’t need them to get the reward chest, and even with Southsun while you were not forced too play Crab Toss it still counted toward the reward chest.

Its all good that they allow everyone their own way to get the rewards without having to do things they don’t enjoy, but at least have some consistency in implementation and let Dragon Ball count if we the players are putting in the time to complete them.

Its not like its a trivial time investment on our part, and I am sure most are not playing for the joy of 1 Zhaitaffy or 1 Dragon Coffer as many in game sound as if they had known from the start they would have not wasted their time.

Better yet if this is not a bug maybe mark them in the future in their little flavor text to state that “this achievement does not count toward reward achievement” or something so that those who may not enjoy that type of thing aren’t wasting time.

Well just had an epiphany.

The notes state that you must max 10/14 achievements to get the wings. And I just counted all the possible achievements and there are 15 total, but since the fireworks one doesn’t count, it leads me to believe that the dragonball achieves HAVE to count because they are part of the 14.

Makes me think that they are in fact just bugged atm, possibly because of the exploit I heard of that allowed people to get the achievements early? In any case I hope they provide some clarity soon, don’t think I’ll finish the second one yet until they do.

From the notes:

•The Dragon Bash Experience meta-achievement will reward a set of Holographic Shattered Dragon Wings back item skin for players who have completed 10 out of the 14 total Dragon Bash achievements (Case Closed not included).

So if Case Closed does not count that leaves 10 of 14 having to include Dragon Ball as countable toward wings as there otherwise is only 10 of 12 that can be done toward it.

I sure hope it’s a bug, but I wonder why is it taking them so long to tell us if it indeed is?
