As the title says.

I’ve been waiting for this update ever since it was first announced, and came back to gw2 after a long break to play it with friends… But no matter how much I press the join button, or relog and stuff, we always get on opposite teams :/.

And if playing with friends isn’t possible -like all those activities that would be a lot less boring if it wasn’t done with random people-, Then I guess Arenanet just manages to find ways to dissapoint every single patch again v.v

What’s really the point of playing an mmo if you can’t play with the people you want to play, even if you’re all in the same region, ->without paying 20 euros/100 gold<-

In Edge you are assigned to the color your world is that week. So if your friends are on another server and it’s ranked differently, you’re not going to be playing with them.

I hope Arenanet realises this is a problem, and atleast knowledges it exists or something x.x

There isn’t really a score tied to edge of the mists, like, it doesn’t give bonusses in pve, or anything. There’s really no reason to not allow you to guest to other colors.

Except for the tendancy for people to karma train and PvD for days on end to get loot and xp.

Allow everyone to guest and you will have 1 big zerg running around taking empty keeps. then logging out and coming into a new map to do it again.

Well, there’s a cap per color per overflow, not per overflow.

For example: if an overflow has a cap of 300 players, then each color can have 100 players. If one color already has 100 players, but the others only 50, then other people cant “guest” to that full color. They get the world is full message, or in the case of edge of the mists, just go to a completely different overflow.

I’m not sure if I see the problem :/. There will always be people on the other side trying to cap things aswell, or just kill players.

What is ArenaNet’s goal? Obviously, it’s not to make a good game. What they want is make money. If you really want to play together, switch server. That’s what ArenaNet wants.

There’s nothing wrong with it. If you want to play with your friends in the first place you should join the same server lol.

I should also point out that you can also taxi members of another color into your overflow. TTS was able to taxi in everyone into the same overflow of edge of the mists and was able to kill each other.

In theory, you could start a gvgvg if 3 guilds managed to flood a single instance of edge of the mist and thus begin a 4 hour epic fight.
