Wrote spoiler cause its about the ending scene, and a strange thought.

So Mordremoth is the 6th and next dragon as I can see, not only from viewing the wiki change while I was reading it(which was weird). And reading other posts.

So I had a thought why Scarlet, a sylvari, found this dragon and lost her mind to it.(most likely a lot of people thought this too.)

-Sylvari are half plant.
-The Mordremoth is a jungle plant dragon.
-Sylvari are a young race. <30 years old
-Most dragons awoke before the birthing of any sylvari.
-Zaithan couldn’t reanimate dead sylvari, NPCs in story said they could never figure out why.
-Direct form GW2 wiki “Vorpp, the Arcane Council’s point person, noted that the only things Ceara could have encountered in the isolation tank were the things that she had brought in with her, concluding that she had been exposed to a part of her psyche that had previously been walled off—perhaps for her own protection.”
-Scarlet said something was controlling her

So with this little info I had this thought:

Sylvari are possibly heralds for Mordremothas, such as the destroyers were to Primordus.

But due to Ventari & his tablet, the Pale tree choose not to help the dragon and wall the memories of Mordremothas off in all sylvari. That’s why Zaithan couldn’t control Sylvari, they are not his minions to control.

Mind blown.

You really, really want to remove the Elder Dragons bit from your title. You can’t write spoiler then put something from the end custcene in it…

Also, there is (somewhere) a massive thread on this subject already. I think it is located somewhere in the lore subforum.

Of course he can, Spoiler warning it’s for something, after that, is responsability of each one to read or not, and deal with the consecuencies, (and more if it has the “Ending” word on the title… _).

Anyway, about the theory of the Minions sylvaris, I see it interesting, between the sylvari missions, there is one chain that shows there are others Sylvaris that doesn’t born from the tree pale, (so they doesn’t know the Sylvari rules). You theory could be a reason.

A Human found a seed in a Wurm cave. He planted the seed at his family grave. Ventari wrote a tablet with beliefs.

This ’’cured’’ the Pale Tree and the future Sylvari for being dragon minions.

In the future, Ceara experimented around, and entered Omadd’s machine. This machine returned Ceara to what she truly was, and what every Sylvari is, a dragon minion.

Ceara, now named Scarlet, wanted to awake its Master.

Mordremoth is now awake.

Half-Life 3 confirmed.

By the by, still don’t buy in to the Pale Tree being a dragon champion/minion unless they show there’s something more at work to have made it so decidedly anti-dragon focused.

I thought that as well for quite sometime after learning that the Sylvari have a natural resistance to the elder dragon’s corruption. We don’t have full confirmation that this is true, but we have more evidence so now also comes with the question of how corrupted are the Nightmare court in favor of the elder dragon influence or if it is a separate condition on it’s own.

What’s scary is the prospect of an entire army of sylvari like Scarlet would be if the end result of the minions turned out to be as cultured/civilized as the sylvari, taking into account comparisons to the other dragon minions. They would be brilliant, clever and chaotic, and with the symbiotic relationship between them all through the Pale Tree, Tyria would have a rather terrible force to deal with.

The tablet did the same thing to the Pale Tree that the Forgotten did to Glint.

Not entirely sure about the “cured” part. I think the pale tree knows fairly what it is and it has made the active decision to lock that part of the Sylvaris shared experience out of the dream. We do know after all, that a dragon’s champion may choose to fight its master (—> Glint). All Omadd’s machine did was to give Scarlett access to this part of her subconscious.

I’m curious of what exactly inhibits their control, if they have to resist it at all. In the case of Glint, she had a long time and considering the Eldragons only corrupt when they’re conscious (it would seem, like with Svanir, considering how long the Norn have been near him). I think it’s safe to say that the time apart from her master allowed her to build up a mental block that is shared amongst her children, though how much would it take for Mordremoth to take control of what was once his, and the consequences if he manages to do so with Sylvari players.

I swear this theory is not new, like at all. People are always talking about this theory.
Even last year, when there was less lore.
(But to be fair, I can’t have a go at you for not using the search bar, this forum’s is pretty buggy).

I am curious though what this epilogue in 2 weeks will contain. It will need to be something that gives us a good enough sense of conclusion until the next season.

Ps: Sorry if I come across as aggressive or a kittenbag, it’s unintentional.
