I assumed they would and spent mine on obsidian shards once I had the recipes I wanted. I have no pressing need for event currencies or ways to level up, so having enough shards to skill up my non-500 crafters is nice, Balthazar being annoying to deal with and karma hard to get now.

It boggles my mind the people who sit on these time-sensitive things anyway. What’s the point in holding onto them AFTER the events relating to it are gone?

They usually leave NPCs like that up for a while longer before removing them. I don’t see why you wouldn’t just use them now though. I just bought tons of lvl up books for my alt, personally.

Maybe because not everyone has sufficient coins yet to trade them into the things they need ( tomes/shards )
They usually leave NPCs like that up for a while longer before removing them. I don’t see why you wouldn’t just use them now though. I just bought tons of lvl up books for my alt, personally.
Not enough extra coins to buy the tomes yet
