Thank you PsuedoNewb for finding the trick to make the format work for all browsers
(edited by GoldenTruth.2853)
Beats me why anyone in their right mind would post a vid on teh interwebz using a format that can’t be read by Firefox (nor IE for that matter) but apparently that’s exactly what people do. Pitty. Not gonna install another browser for that.
Beats my why anyone uses Firefox (not to mention IE.)
Works in Chrome fine…….
I just hope it’s ArenaNet having a laugh, I don’t want to be doing that garbage.
If I did I’d play “Leisure Suit Larry”.

Updated with another teaser.
Also wish a mod would move this to the SAB forums since this post was made before the subforum was up.
Rubbish. Why would anyone make a site that doesn’t use the web standard, and thus can’t be read by Firefox OR internet explorer? I’m not going to install a new browser just to watch two videos of just a few seconds.
Just use the web standard you dolts! Argh!
Beats my why anyone uses Firefox (not to mention IE.)
Anyone that runs Windows (most of us do) have Internet Explorer. We may not use it (most of us don’t), but it should at least run under the default browser. Let alone the default replacement browser (Firefox).

There, fixed that for you.
Uhm, I don’t know what people are complaining about browser compatibility and standards, I checked the video, and it is using a normal html 5 video tag with video/mp4 content.
It should work in Firefox if you are using a recent non-free OS.
It should work in IE but we are talking about IE, so I had to use compatibility view for some bizarre reason probably due to it being IE.

It does not work on Internet Explorer and Firefox under Windows 7.
Updated original post with teasers about lasers and more lasers.
Updated original post with a giant raccoon in a suit? I don’t even know.

If you have trouble running it through Firefox or IE try using Chrome (yes, I don’t know why they decided to post this with something not Firefox compatible).

None of those videos work with Firefox on Windows 7. It’s a shame, really. I would have liked to watch them.

It doesn’t work on my Windows 7 x64 w/Firefox. Nothing is displayed but a box with a speaker icon in the upper left corner. There is no video.

Yeah that’s why vine is dumb…. sorry that no one has the videos posted in a different format

Sorry to hear that. I guess it is supposed to work.

But one can’t argue with reality.
Any ways it isn’t too difficult to expose the direct link to the content.

(Don’t know if they are persistent but they work for me, for now…)
Maybe those will work better if your browser can display mp4 but not vine’s video tagged mp4s for some reason.
Hmm peculiar thing, it worked on my firefox 12.0 (out of date), but I clicked the update button, and now it acts like internet explorer does… Perhaps vine has an issue with it’s java script, because the video tags look fine.
Try the embed version, it looks like it isn’t screwed up with the scripting. (embed doesn’t have autoplay so you have to click).

So wait… People still only have one browser? And don’t know how to use them?
So wait… People still only have one browser? And don’t know how to use them?
What’s the point of having multiple browsers? It seems very redundant.
Teaser #6 Nunchucks edition in original post.
Also, thanks PseudoNewb for fixing the format.
