Q:
What are the reward drops for bosses?
A:
Nice they added hard core content, but frankly the only reason why ANYONE plays an MMO is for the instant gratification that is the reward for their effort.
So far, I’m not impressed. The chests that drop for the event don’t have silver in them, only one green item, and a bag full of useless tokens that combine for some mysterious purpose no one has figured out yet that I have heard.
Hard content should have equally good rewards, GW2 cannot get the idea that risk vs reward is what’s making the game such a let down since they started upping the difficulty. They make insane events you stand around two hours for only to get wiped and the trash doesn’t even drop anything worth selling because its account bound. Idiotic.
But yes, to the original poster, you’re wasting your time. There’s a SLIM chance for an ascended armor from the Jungle Wurm, but other than that it’s all greens and blues. Haven’t tried the wurm, but the robot’s trash don’t even drop blues and greens. Even the CHAMPIONS for the robot don’t drop blues and greens let alone a chest like they have in previous events.

No one successfully killed them yet, how should we know?
They said the loot is going to be like Teq’s though.
What are the reward drops for bosses?
Blues and greens? I need to know if I am wasting time with this.
If you are playing this for rewards, don’t, and go do dungeons. If you are here for hardcore content, welcome to the party.
Message me any time in game.

I have all my dungeon gear and ascended.
If I ask for a reward, it probably because there is no story, or anything worth my time with the content I am talking about. Check yourself.
Need to know that there isn’t just death, blues, and greens under this sweep under the rug content.

How about if you’re only playing for fun then go back to playing chess or checkers or monopoly or whatever board game that’s fun. Nothing wrong in wanting rewards to upgrade or showoff on your character, especially if you expect people to continue doing content multiple times. Since the beginning of mmo’s people have been doing elite group content not just for fun but rewards as well, some gw2 players got it in their heads anet can be lazy and only give you content with little rewards.
If you’re happy with the scraps of loot anet provides you, then happy for you, move along and keep enjoying your content. Meanwhile the people who want loot will continue to ask for it and until anet does a better job of delivering it, you can thank the loothogs later for getting that for you too.
P.S I don’t care about gw2 pve content, it’s disappointing/waste of time compared to other games. Where’s my wvw content anet?

2 blues and a green!

Straight forward answer.
You win the internet.

I have to agree to an extent, players put in the effort to kill bosses for the experience, the reward/ sense of accomplishment. So the experience revolves around the bosses design itself which is hopefully challenging without being frustrating, while the rewards are usually something unique or distinctive that is representative of your accomplishment like a skin, title or the like in the place of something like that players have come to expect some sort of monetary reward.
So given how ArenaNet is moving towards bosses where the best rewards are very RNG oriented, leaving some fairly lackluster achievement rewards and monetary gains it’s kind of understandable players are disappointed in what they’re offered.
But I guess it all comes down to 1.) the fundamental disconnection ArenaNet has with their playerbase that prevents them from understanding what players actually want and 2.) ArenaNet trying to add grinding to a game that was intended to be anti-grind
One word to describe awards -kitten-really not worth the effort involved. And bugged as well nice. and this from above

Well, I like the new content so far. I completed the gizmo that opens scarlets secret hidaway, and participated in a failed attempt on the marionette.
As for rewards, I did get a rare item somewhere in the L.P. event. Miss those loot bags, from her old invasion though….
Loot it this game has been crap since day one, why expect that to change?
I’ve been massively disappointed in the basic loot for this event so far. I played the Wurm battle up to the point where the Asura stops on an island and does nothing for about ten minutes, at which point I left to do other things. I got absolutely ZERO loot for that, the enemies I killed weren’t even dropping white junk loot, much less bags, mats, blues, greens, etc.
I also did the Marionette fight and beat one of the platform champs and numerous enemies and even champs outside, but they never dropped anything of value, it was all those code fragment things. So far I haven’t received one thing of any actual value.
you spend complaining about it on the forums, you’d be
done by now.”
I got a pair of green boots from Marionette. I think that was it.
The code fragments which drop from enemies and the reward chest at the end of the Marionette fight are used to open chests in a certain location you’ll find if you follow the living story’s directions for a while.
The first chest I opened contained 3 greens, 1 rare, an aetherized scrap, some more code fragments for another of the chests, and an item related to the current piece of living story. If they’re all like that you can expect to get around a 30-50s payout each time you can afford to open one of the chests. Maybe there’s something unique they can drop which I don’t know about as well, like another chance at the Zealot’s recipes?
Using the code fragments I managed to get about 6/7 rares, an Exotic Zealot recipe and an Ascended Armor Chest.
So if you’re lucky it can work out nicely.

The Living Story has no direction this patch. It just tells you to go to Lornar’s pass and expects you to figure out the rest on your own. So, I haven’t a clue as to what you are referring unless you are talking about Scarlet’s Secret Base beneath Durmand Priory. In which case, I only know of it’s existence due to a Commander that was spamming the location in map chat.
