In every single article, trailer etc about The Gates of Maguuma you say that you are offering us ‘a sneak peak’. EVERY SINGLE TIME.

A ‘peak’ is a pointy thing.
To ‘peek’ is to take a look at something.

Peek.
PEEK.
A SNEAK PEEK.

And now it’s getting copy/pasted all over this forum with every new thread. I’m going mad mad mad. Please correct it before I have to take dried frog pills and have a lie down.

I’m now going to alphabetize the contents of my bank slots to calm myself down.

It’s a pun. The Maguuma is going to have lots of “peaks”, pointy objects, such as thorns and spikey monsters.

Just imagine what the coding looks like if the grammar is this bad.

Thank you for pointing this out. It has been driving me crazy as well!

It’s better to keep your mouth shut and appear stupid than to open it and remove all doubt.

True, grammar is vital when coding after all…….

Not mastering something you have used your whole life = not having your kitten together for something you went to college for.

Some of the best programmers I have ever meet are terrible at spelling and grammar, don’t mix them. Not to mention the application developers are probably not writing the web content, regardless of whether or not they were making a pun, so double assumptions there. Just saying don’t assume one is related to the other.

Actually, is spelling considered grammar? Regardless, their witty morpheme substitutions leave me high and dry.

Just imagine what the coding looks like if the grammar is this bad.

Accurate spelling in most areas of programming matters not, as long as everything is consistently misspelled throughout the code.

Someone already beat me to the “code=/=grammar” bit, but this wasn’t the coders… it was the marketing people. Who presumably went to “marketing college” or wherever they go (little known factoid: marketing is one step removed from the School of Synergetics in clarity of purpose) to learn how to properly communicate
