Give him a new look, make him look bad kitten with new armor or something. They usually do this in movies and tv shows when the characters gone for a while return looking different. Maybe this will make people like him more… What do you guys think?

For God sake people, leave T alone! He’s not that bad. You’re blowing this whole thing out of proportion. It’s like whomever the 1st person was that complained about him, everyone else jumped on the bandwagon, b/c it was a cool thing to do.

I agree the voice acting lets him down a bit and there were a few parts that could have been done better, but overall he’s fine!

@OP, i like that idea.

After cleansing Orr, and leading the Pact for so long, he’s now confident, seasoned leader and not a self-doubting, gentle Sylvari Scholar, as he first appeared to us. He’s more rugged and authoritative, not to mention a much more able and experienced fighter.

I don’t see why his voice can’t become more deep with age, or why he couldn’t have a change of hair and facial features to show his more mature self. Perhaps his leaves have greyed out, or even become a bit withered from stress of fighting the long war in Orr.

I think “looking bad kitten ” is a LONG way down the list on things by which I judge a character.

It’s more likely to me that he has stepped aside and acts more as an advisor. His Wyld Hunt was to cleanse Orr, not lead the top races of Tyria to victory of the elder dragons.

I wonder if we set him on fire would he still yell " Moving on" in the middle of a fight ?

That means they’re really good characters, when they can elicit that kinda of response lol.

Seriously though, although i liked scarlet less than Mr T, it’s probably b/c the way she was introduced to us so suddenly and i guess Mr T is the same unless unless ur Sylvari. But at least u get to spend a lot of time with him and get to know him. Not all characters have to be likeable in a game. You have to take them for what they are, just like people in real life.

I don’t spend my time irl with people I don’t like. He’s just a salad who took nearly all credit for killing Zhaitan… and Scarlet was just a crazy kitten and I just wanted to see her dead and gone.

Also make him Norn or Human, give him another name, another voice and another personality. Or make him a Charr and call him Tybalt .. in that case he can return

That means they’re really good characters, when they can elicit that kinda of response lol.

It is more a feeling of absolute resignation when the characters have been overly exposed for a long time and then in the end was not providing a satisfactory finale.

Scarlets end ended in more or less a complete change of character.

As for Trahearne and Zhaitan, by the way that fight shaped up in the end, I wouldn’t mind him taking credit because the entire thing felt like an absolute joke.

Imagine tybalt coming back alla star wars ghost…with robes and stuff and just smiling silently while polishing a ghost apple at the victory after season 2. If that would happen then LS would be 100/10.

(and yea im random but i love tybalt and they shouldnt had killed him off at any costs, still mad about that. To honour him i even transmuted my predator back to the hunter)

Trahearne is the rebirth of the hero who brought down the dragons every time!
With the powers of monotonous voice and boring manner of talking, he jabbers the dragons into sleep in every cycle, just to be reborn as another race again!
When the dragons rise again in the next cycle with even more power, Trahearne has to come back as a quaggan…I shudder at the sheer thought.
Oooooooooooohhh -break of twenty minutes- hero -break of half an hour- goooot -a new dawn begins- niiiice -the remains of the player begin to fossilize- teeeeeeeeeeth.

maybe trahearne is the one who jumped into the ley lines as part of this recent ls?

1)The developer will make the boss fight very hard to complete that everyone including the diehard players will claim that it is impossible.
2)This will continue with people posting video of OP boss attack that 1HKO everyone in 1000 meter radius and qq demanding a nerf.
3)Then with a new story update, Trahearne will appear with his laser armed airships fleet and killed the dragon in the cutscreen.

He is a necro, and sylvary necros can look very b_d_ss. I suggest that devs go to the stick thread of “post your necro looks here”, and take some ideas.

I think they would take the same approach they have been taking where they give him a unique armor and or weapons which will than become available on the gem store.

I’d kind of hope he’s wearing Pact gear by now. It’s kind of bad if he refuses to wear the stuff his soldiers have to wear.

Sylvari grown armors are literally just as good as those.

IIRC, there is dialogue with a Sylvari in the vigil (or hanging out near them) where it is mentioned it took them a while, but they convinced the Vigil to simply let them wear their grown/plant armors and that it was just as effective.

Actually, I would like it if they could redeem the character in some way with their much much improved story writing these days. Now I disliked Trahearne as much as a lot of players, but he didn’t steal the player character’s victory over Zhaitan.

Sure he was an annoying know it all, with a deus ex machina for everything. He knew everyone, rallied everyone and everything he did in the past was super super important. He was shy, insecure and introverted one moment, and super charismatic (well at least in the minds of everyone except us!) warrior leader the next, like an anime character. He had the voice of a sleepy librarian with the power of He-Man and Merlin combined.

But what if the improved writing manages to take the cool things about the character (mysterious firstborn sylvari with a quest to restore a corrupted land not his own) and makes him come across better, what if they make him step down from his position of Pact leader after achieving his Orr quest and return as a scholar and advisor instead, a role that would be so much more suited to his voice and character? If they did something like that, I might even like him in the end, depending on the writing quality. I’m sure they have noticed the huuuuge amount of negative feedback Trahearne has gotten since GW2 release, so redeeming the character at least a little by virtue of improved writing and storytelling would be an excellent move.

Doubt we’ll see him back, since they’d have to re-hire the voice actor or find a close-enough replacement. Not to say it won’t happen, but that’s a major barrier to it.

Sylvari aren’t flammable in the same way humans aren’t flammable.
they’re both full of water.
… Unless you count human hair, human hair is certainly very flammable.

I think most likely it’ll turn out that trahearne handed leadership of the pact over to the three leaders of the orders, and they run the pact as an oligarchy. After all, his wyld hunt had been completed.
The added friction between the leaders of the orders for commanding a joint army would be a pretty interesting dynamic to see lore-wise.

When Laranthir of the Wild was in LA, he directly mentioned asking Trahearne for permission to take an airship up to LA.

Clawr Island should become accessible to anyone that’s gotten past that point in the LS. It’s where the Pact was born, and the sight of a major victory against the dragons.

If they made it work like the home instances, they could add in other things you gain in the PS and LS. They could also add in a monument to your order mentor.
