No other game puts in the amount of effort ArenaNet has in its story telling. We have amazing voice actors, well put together stories, amazing graphics in cut scenes, and mind blowing adventurous fights! When I saw the eternal alchemy I couldn’t believe it!!! Felt like I was in Kingdom Hearts or .hack for a moment. Keep it up ANet and please release an expansion!!!

Tempted to start Episode 2 just to see this again. I like that they took my helmet off for this shot.

But yes, this latest release was good. It restored a bit of my faith regarding the story.

Because you had to say it like that, I watched the cutscene listening to this. It kinda fit and made it seem somewhat more mystical.

Either the OP misspoke and meant no other MMO, or they haven’t played many good games, lol.

You’re right and I was impressed by this episode. I loved the mission in the Inquest cave! Asurans must have Steam Creature elites now.

LS2 is already miles ahead of LS1 to me. LS1 was dry, boring, and it seemed to have no direction most of the time. LS2 already has clear cut direction, it’s exciting, and it’s fleshing out the characters more.

The only cons that I have for LS2 so far is Kasmarj dialogue being a little over the top and slowing down otherwise good scenes, and how identifying Mordremoth was sort of just dropped into our lap very anticlimactically. It seems like between LS1 and LS2 our characters just read the internet and concluded it was Mordy, but we missed out on that whole discovery and identification period. It went from “what could be happening here!? How is Scarlet still involved!?” in LS1 to “it’s absolutely Mordremoth” in LS2. It wasn’t Taimi that even said that or it would make sense given her alone time spent studying. We said it out of nowhere lol.

Two minor gripes in the overall enjoyment of the episodes so far, I’m pleased to see the LS going in the right direction. 8/10 for me at this point.

^ This. No other MMO comes close for me, and that’s where I typically go for story stuff, but this season has gotten me more interested in following events in GW2 and there’s been a huge improvement from how disenchanted I was after completing the personal story. I take it as a good sign.

I said ‘a bit’, didn’t I? I don’t feel hyped or super excited anymore, but I am now at least interested in seeing the story again. But I’d say my expectations are still somewhat low. :P This last installment was a marked improvement over s1 and even the release two weeks ago, so that’s something.
