What happened to it? I thought Arenanet told us it is a great way of telling the story of the Living World?

Yea, seems like they dropped that idea, not that it added anything of value for players.

“I am Evon Gnashblade and this message is acceptable to me.”

Yeah it’s true tbh, they shouldn’t waste time on it if no one really checks it out. I was just curious ^^

Well they were very good at adding new stuff with every LW release at the end of S1, I’m not exactly sure what they’re planning to do with it now because as previously noted:

I thought Arenanet told us it is a great way of telling the story of the Living World?

Which worked for S1 since S1 was temporary content, but in the case of S2 there seems little reason to do so since it’s permanent (although it could be useful in the future when new player want to catch up on the lore or decide which LW patched to buy).

I never “got it” where it came to the Atlas.

I assumed this was some critter conjured by Marketing for attracting new players (rather than adding to existing players’ experience).

When a player doesn’t get it, I can’t see a prospective customer getting it and being drawn to the game by it.

Ahh yeah I didn’t really think about that while writing this. I prefer the ingame system now within the journal but as said before I was just wondering what they were planning to do with it now.
