I beat Tribulation Mode on both worlds. I love it, absolutely love it. It was a great challenge and i especially love that the reward isnt tradeable so people cant just buy their weapons, they have to earn it. But there are some good, and there are some bad things.
Good: Very fun, great challenge, makes you actually have to work not watch a cutscene or fight a boss you poke and it explodes and you win.
Bad: The ledges, oh my god the ledges not all but some ledges are so insanely tiny you almost barely make it and most of the time you don’t very race nonfriendly i cant imagine doing it on a charr or norn
DO NOT: Fix anything that makes this hard, serously i don’t care if achievment hunters QQ i don’t care if players who’d rather prefer watching cutscenes or fighting the weakest monster ever cant get past checkpoint 1, Josh Foreman and Vince keep up the good work its called tribulation mode for a reason.
DO: Fix some ledges, no not all but some are very VERY unforgiving, world 2-3 is a huge example the very beginning takes forever from one ledge you have to literally get nasty (giggity) with the wall to reach a ledge, another would be jumping over ice to reach and even going super slow you can fling off again i feel so bad for charrs and norn.
But either way great job guys keep up the super adventure work, i’ll have to suffer waiting for world 3 i want it so bad…red weapons is a heck yes.
Only ledges I want fixed are the ones that require you to jump up at an angle to reach. I believe only like 2 of them exist in SAB. It’s the same kind of jump that’s required to get onto that platform at Fire Elemental.

They already fixed the Tree-top checkpoint in W2-2, pre-patch that jump took me so many tries to stick—but now its really easy.

I wasn’t referring to that. The jump didn’t bother me. I was referring to in W2Z3 when coming up the ledges from the banana area back to where the chest is, there’s the final ledge that requires you to jump at a certain angle or certain way to get on top of. I think there was another one of these ledges after the checkpoint near the elite skill.

Sure it does, different content should cater to different people. Like progression raiding catering to the more hardcore in other MMOs, TM caters to the hardcore in GW2. And if you don’t like it, no need to do it. You’re not forced to any more than you are forced to raid or whatever in other games.

I don’t see a problem with it, there’s no reward for doing trib mode, other than some recolored skins
