Pretty much all april, I only did SAB. It was fun, I got my Shield. But money wise I gained zero that whole month.

So I just wonder if we will be able to gain atleast a small amounth of gold from SAB #2 ?

I know I could sell my Shield, but I wanted that shield.

SAB was pretty much the only content I’ve done for fun since a few months after hitting 80.

Except for occasional WvW and PvP, and a dungeon here and there.

I had fun farming Gauntlet the last day it was availble. I got 30g that day, and it was a fun experience and challenging.

I’m not asking to be able to make that much. But just enough to feel that I don’t "waste " my time having FUN :P

I simply just want to atleast get the same gold as in a starting zone per hour.

why cant content that rewards you in its own special way be fun without also needing to reward you with generic currency

Uhh, I don’t know what you did with your time in there if you didn’t make any money, the rare skin drops from that were worth quite a lot and if you wanted a skin for yourself baubles were not hard to get for the green version. In otherwords, the drop rewards could be the same format and you could profit immensely from it

Did you even play SAB? The thing about rare skins is that they’re rare, so it’s easy to spend hours farming and have nothing to show for it. SAB farming is gambling.

OP didn’t mention wanting skins, and the green version costs money so is the opposite of what he was asking for.

I made like 200 gold from just doing daily speedruns on 5 characters for the duration of the event. Found a greatsword in the last week which I sold for 55 gold ^^

Josh Foreman already said that this time, your personal score will influence the droprate at the final chests, so the speedfarming will most likely not be possible anymore (he admitted they made a mistake with the rewards the first time).

Don’t expect any income from it this time.

in no way did i suggest fun content is unrewarding. or unenjoyable.

and @Xuro. darn, does make sense that they would do something like that, world 2 looks like it couldn’t exactly be speed(sped?) ran anyways, at least not the first level with the raft

id imagine you’ll be able to put the skin on the tp since practically all skins are tradable now.
