I have to say: I think the Infinite Watch Knight Tonic is the coolest Living Story/Event item “I’ve” yet to see Anet release. I think it is one the coolest items in the game.

However, though I have 16/17 Achievements complete, I am honestly worried I may not be able to complete the 13/13 Maps achievement by the end of the Event.

What if 16/17 Achievements was enough?

Working, and my home life, don’t really allow me to work with this requirement. I can’t be there scanning the game for those few maps I need. My only chances to get it are neglecting some of my home life, or staying up late and feeling lousy the next day at work. Or just getting lucky.

I’d be sincerely disappointed if I couldn’t get the Watch Knight Tonic. I know this next comment is going to sound a little entitled, but… having been with this game since the Beta Weekends, and having been there for almost every Living Story, I’d be a little let down with the game if I couldn’t get this Tonic.

I think others are out there with 16/17 achievements with the same worry who may feel the same, if ya do please voice your self. Again, what if 16/17 Achievements was enough to get the Watch Knight Tonic?

The daily Clockwork achievement also counts toward completion so don’t fret, you’ll easily complete this before the end of the event.

You dont need to do all 13. As above said, look at the daily. And dont forget to complete Vorrp/Playground.

Check the dailies – daily – until you find one related to Invasions (and perhaps the Playhouse, I’d already got the tonic by the time I noticed these existed so idk if they count or not).

yea, the Playhouse event consists of 3 achieves, and the Soft Landing one which is in the Pavilion, after you’ve opened it up again (by beating the Playhouse).

@OP – the Daily Clockworks are similar to the jubilee dailies and both ahve a special icon attached to them on your Daily UI.

just for reference, yesterday’s Clockwork daily was “Close 5 Portal Invasions” (individual portals, i.e. red crossed sword events on a map being invaded), iirc. i’ve also seen “Complete the Playhouse” and more. another was “Scarlet Scrambler” defeat scarlet when she come sout at the end of a map-wide invasion… to name a few.

so if you have 16/17 already, just do one daily and you’ll have your tonic!

Don’t feel bad. I was surprised when I got the reward. I accidentally completed the daily while doing one of the map invasions.

I guess I have to hurry up. I have completed like 2 invasions. Finding 45-60 minutes for some open PvE is actually quite difficult.

I really, REALLY dislike this kind of zerging content. I usually just wait till there’s like 5 to 15 minutes left on the invasion, go to a zone and try to get in a kitten overflow that has the event running, do a event and AFK till it’s over. Boring as all hell.

If you actively look for invasion sites that have few players around (avoid the commander tags….), you can actually get some fairly decently enjoyable fights (for at least a minute or five). Going AFK for end rewards is just something you shouldn’t do (or at least admit to).
