Not sure about the minstrel. Hobo-Tron is all but certain to be evil though.

I suppose since both are comical in one way or another, she might actually be trying to get comical acknowledgement from them. This would imply that she cares a great deal about her behaviour.

I’m pretty sure they’re her hostages and the shield was as much to stop them escaping as to keep them from getting killed.

Yes, but her’s was a mesmer shield of sorts, which served to just keep the Separatists out until we got there.

Clearly both are using plot shields, a very powerful NPC ability.

I assumed it was some sort of energy cage to keep them captive, not a shield to protect them.

As for why she’d keep them… entertainment, I would assume, based on what the Aetherblades were saying when they captured the two in the first place. Makes me think of Scar keeping Zazu in the cage in Lion King purely for his own amusement, she probably makes the minstrel sing and Hobo-Tron… do comedy? Or maybe the two of them arguing is amusing?
