… Lord Faren, that means they are potentially willing to kill off other characters who are integral to the personal story! (I’m assuming Lord Faren is truly dead.)

This has awesome potential. I would like to see the following killed off:

• Queen Jennah
• Logan
• Kiel
• Trahearne.

Lord Faren is not dead…
However, I would love to see Trahearne die, and I’m sure many, MANY other people would as well.

I really don’t want faren to be dead. if he just got a bit more interesting story it could be a cool character. not like the tragic hero they want braham to be (who just annoys me personally). he’s just a fellow with mostly personal interests and some loyalty to the queen and maybe the player character – all of which makes him seem a lot more like an actual being than those super-duper-heroes..

and fortunately, the achievements seem to indicate faren can be rescued (achievement for rescuing him < 3 minutes).

But.. but he fell down the big hole! I haven’t finished the new content (possibly never will as the zerging is just so tedious) so I guess I haven’t seen the part where they reveal he’s alive?

Too bad…. all my hopes crushed!

Don’t want to spoil anything so you’ll have to do the Funhouse to find out. It will be worth your troubles.

he’s actually a much more fun/interesting character than most of the ones that Anet want us to like … like Logan, Queen Jennah, Kiel, Braham (not as much Braham, but I agree with his being annoying). Probably because he isn’t a 1 dimensional goody two shoes.

I jumped off the bird overhanging the Pavilion, and survived. Then again I was on my Necro, and Necros can jump from a low orbit and walk away.

Look at the achievements if you want to know what happened to Lord Faren.

FAAAAAAARRREEEEN! Sure, he was annoying, but who will now run the Divinity’s Reach Fanciest Cat Competition?!?!

+1 to any Kill Trahearne movement out there.

So he fell down a hole. I jumped down that hole once and nothing happened to me, I’m sure he can manage. Besides, there is an achievement for saving him, so he must be alive.

Unless we find out he really did die and was replaced by a clockwork robot. So when we rescue him it is all part of Scarlet’s plan.

Into a long forgotten but still functional asura portal that goes to… Cantha! Or maybe the moon…

Faren cannot die because he is the best sidekick character in the hume storyline.

There are many characters I wouldn’t mind see buy the farm, but they’re just going to wind up being replaced with other, equally irritating characters. So what’s the point? Better the cardboard cutout you know than the cardboard cutout you don’t.

I approve of this list except Logan. at first he bugged me but then he saved Rytlock, then sacrificed himself for our safety and even came across as not such an idiot in the Majory cutscene. But the rest can go – especially Kiel.

While we are at it can we add:

• Quinn
• Petra
• Everyone in Destiny’s Edge
• The Pale tree
• Any NPC that repeats dialog every 15 seconds while I’m crafting/shopping.
