… walk barefoot. It’s the Charrs nature. Many of the Flame Legion does is (even Baelfire) and Citizens all around of Tyria. And if you take a closer look on the Charr in Guild Wars 1, you will also see, that all walking barefoot (except for Pyre Fierceshot).

I still miss the option, to hide your footware. Alternatively good looking beast-footware, especially for the Medium-Armor-Classes. Everytime, a new armor is available in the gem-store, I thrilled to see, if something like this is coming. But
I always get disappointed. Gosh, I even would pay for unlock the option.

Or at least gives us a skin that allows barefoot. I had a hard time finding footwear for my charr. I finally went with the T1 footwear because as far as the light armor goes, it’s about as barefoot as you can get.

For light-armor-classes you can also use the Nightmare Court Footwraps. Does it’s job good, but the upper shoe is a little bit to above average.

For Warriors and Guardians you can wear the Legion Boots. But there is this i dont know what floating near to the ankle. The Drednough Warboots are the only option you have, but you have to deal with these strange straps under your feet.

I was really hopefull, to get the Cook-Boots as unique item with the Wardrobe, because these are looking half-decent. But you have to wear the whole armor. So all Medium-Armor-Classes are still waiting …

Post Pics of your Barefeet-Charr and discuss to support our concern.

Masquerade Armor Boots for light users, if you managed to get to wolf rank before the feature patch that is.

Because of the Masquerade Armor I was thrilled to become Rank 30. I felt disappointed, because of that white dye, you can not redye. It misfits with other bright colors (yellow, orange, …) or dark colors. And you also have to wear skimpy armor, or it looks really bad. But with white fur it really looks nice, especially on male characters. With the females dark footpad it’s not that cool.

Already a similar post recently, both in General and Charr discussion that I’d upvoted. The simple fact of the matter is that Charr have very limited decent looking options for footwear – particularly for light and medium armor classes. Most boots look stretched, blocky and oddly disproportionate. Low level gear is particularly bad – I’d much rather go barefoot than have to wear them.

For now, here are a few of my personal favorite footwear looks for Charr, not all of them necessarily showing paws!

I feel that the Whispers Secret Greaves make for a snazzy alternative for the heavy plate look.

For mediums, Krytan boots make a nice snug form fitting pair. That is, if you can stand the knee bone bit – fortunately the T3 cultural my ranger normally wears obscures most of it.

My least favorite part of the Archon boots (T2 cultural) seems to be hidden under certain pants. Pictured here with Priory light leggings, the ugly blocky upper shin guards are neatly tucked away, making for a nice claw fitting pair of kicks.

As Maria Murtor mentioned, I rather am fond of the cook’s outfit boots too, though it does come with the entire look. Fortunately, I happen to like the look for my new necromancer. Glorious paws!

Tier 1 Invoker’s boots are almost always a solid fallback too!

@Kaaqeli & Maria Murtor: My initial enthusiasm on discovering the Masquerade boots was quickly dashed too upon experimenting with dyes and learning that I could do nothing about the white parts.

Not to mention, that it seems impossible for Charr to dress boots. I’m serious: How do they manage this?

Like I said: With the right fur, it looks good. But I agree with you: A option for recoloring the white parts would be nice.

Those armors looks cool. I wish Charr could show more their fur than they do now. they don’t need to be fully clothed because of the fur….and bare feet would fit better.

Follow your heart and your dreams won’t be far behind.

The tribal-armor is nice and a good a good starting for beast-armors. I really like my new necromancers look and I wish I had more like this here. No boots, just ornaments for your feet.

A Charr friend and I got onto the subject of light and medium leggings that cover up most of the upper parts of boots – Much like the light priory leggings I mentioned previously.

It seems that for medium armor wearers, Duelist, Rascal and Marauder pants cover up most of the boots above about the ankles. The Krytan boots for example would lack the bone shingaurds if you wore one of these pants.

Still haven’t looked through all the pants carefully, but it seems that Priory light leggings are the only light pants that do this from a cursory examination.

Would be nice if future leggings took this into consideration. Anyway, just food for thought!

I’m looking for leggings as short and slightly as possible, so you can see more from the fur. Very short ones are the Vigil’s Honor leggings. The town clothes leggings are the best choice, but obviously you can’t wear them with your normal armor …

Protection? Most of the Footwear seems semi-finished. The shoe sole encloses not the entire foot, leaving the front open. Terrible … Either all or nothing
