Female charr creation (help me)
Well, for fur patterns you can always look at real life big cats/house cats and take a color scheme from there.
For example, my female Charr engineer has her fur and pattern based off a real life white tiger, white fur with black/dark grey stripes.
At the end of the day, you’re only going to be happy if you play with character creation and choose for yourself. We cannot choose for you.
That said, we can give advise.
In terms of bodies, there are two that have a more muscular neck then the rest. Out of these two, one is a little bit thinner then the other. I suggest it. It has strong muscles in the neck and arms, but a graceful, slender torso—it sounds about like what you want.
In terms of faces, you’re going to have to play with the sliders. You can make the same face look drastically different depending on what you do with the sliders. To start, I suggest the lion face, the tiger face, or the mean-looking face with the underbite. In terms of the mean-looking face, you can tone it down A LOT by changing the shape of the eyes and mouth, and making the teeth smaller. The end result is actually quite pleasing and unique-looking.
In terms of fur, avoid white and off-white. White and near-white female charr are extremely overdone—you see them EVERYWHERE because so many people make them.
Thanks for the suggestions. And like I said, the reason why I ask is because I don’t have current access to GW2 and I won’t for another 4 weeks because of school stuff…
Pics speak louder than words in this case, so here’s my ele and guard.
Any face can look ferocious or timid by playing with the eyes and brow. Downward slants and more squinting gives you ferocity.
Every face is going to look normal or vanilla unless you do something that makes it stand out slightly. My ele’s face isn’t all that vanilla because of the red eyes and the white patches around them. I don’t consider my guardian’s face vanilla because nearly solid black charr seem pretty uncommon, the dreadlocks/hair wrap add some character and there’s that white spot on the forehead.
Yeah, don’t make a charr that’s primarily white. I see way too many of them and they rarely look good. You pretty much can’t go wrong with brown.
As a general suggestion, you should pick one or two things that are most important and base everything else around those. Pick the fur and/or hair out then use the face you think looks best with those. Or pick the face you want the most then make the fur and hair match.
yea pics do speak louder then words. usually i like to make my fur color and armor try to match the class also
also white charr being more common, ehhh imo its a misconception since white generally is a more noticeable color: in my over 3k hours playing i’ve noticed just as much white charr as any other color, but that’s just my 2 cents.
-have lighter tan fem charr lvling up dont wanna show off till she’s 80-
I’d agree with the white charr just being easier to spot. I don’t think they look terrible but in a crowd the white furred/armored ones will be easier to see then a darker furred charr with dark armor.
Of course, my white tiger styled Charr is using a dark brown/black coat (engineer). :P

Both those faces look pretty good
