ironically, as a player, i find the ranger more fun and engaging then the other professions, simply because you have to think when playing it, you cannot just mindlessly walk around the place spamming 11111111111111 F1 1111111 F1 54111111111111111 F1 411

Whenever I read something like this, I really wonder if you guys ever noticed the auto attack function.
Why does this thread still exist? Barely any of the devs understands the games flaws right now and they show no intend of getting rid of their ignorance.

He mostly thought we were just fine in pve and wvw so not much would have come of it if he stuck around anyway.
You are mostly fine in PvE and WvW.
Notice the “mostly”, though. No class isn’t mostly fine. It just so happens that Warriors are mostly finer and mostlier than other classes in all formats. :P

Because everyone knows that I as a developer (not for a game, business software) always put the most effort into the parts of the software I use myself and ignore the other ones.

well im sure devs play a bunch of classes, but there is still a disconnect. everything that gets balanced is based on spvp. this creates huge balance issues in wvw and the gaps there are getting bigger and bigger. i mean cc spam is ridiculous in wvw, the zerg with the most war wins. eles meteorshowers hit for 6k-11k and wreck everything on walls and meanwhile rangers arent even allowed in an organized guild, mesmers are boring veilbots that have to rely on stealth to not get cced to death and heavy armor classes dominate the battle field.
i always hear, yeah war is a little strong and needs a tweak.in wvw war need nerfs not tweaks. u didnt tweak glamour builds u flat out destroyed the only non ai aoe build mes had and never gave us anything back. rangers had a little shine when bm was buffed, but now they disappeared after nerfs too.
so yeah there is a big disconnect i think and whenever a dev says mes is in a good spot, im thinking:….so u are happy with the fact that mes is a utilitybot or roamer and cannot ever be part of dmg dealer in a zerg? making a light armor class a 1v1 duelist only with barely any aoe skills, multitarget skills, that is only functioning with illusions? well illusions die in less than a second in a zerg, so without ip no shatters….so if u guys dont change things around wvw will pretty soon only be open for 3,5 classes war/guard/ele and the 0.5 is thieves as they get to gank the backlines…
id recommend devs to go and play a ranger in a zerg,play a mesmer in wvw and see how often things get obstructed, how little dmg u do, how little loot u get, and how boring the veilbot duty is, play an engi in a zerg play it for a few hours, follow an organized guild around and u will see the issues much better.
imo every class should be viable in every game mode, there should be build options for dueling and raids.ai based classes should have more non ai heavy build options…etc

No game ever had perfect balance BUT the imbalance in this one is hilarious. As a guardian I can solo champions and group events while I see mesmers, rangers, thieves and engineers having trouble with a veteran and its adds. Not to mention that those people have been here for a while and I started the game about two weeks ago. That’s not balanced. At all.
Having certain classes perform like 5-10% better than all others until the next balance patch comes up is sort of to be expected. Having certain classes perform almost twice as better as every other and do it indefinietly is not acceptable. Having certain classes perform so poorly that no one wants them in their group is also not acceptable.
They don’t have to care about your balance. They already got your money in advance from the box sales, and they also cash in advance with the rng skin tickets off every living world update.
There’s zero incentive for them to care about player retention when they can pull months worth of subs from gem buying customers in a single month.

While you may be partially correct I don’t think your statement about balance being irrelevant when it comes to profit, is completely true. Some players like myself enjoy mainly playing one class. So what happens if a players favorite class is not up to par with the rest? They quit. No more buying gems if a player quits, no more profit from them, gg.
I think we are in store for a treat here in the next month or two, sigils being revamped, classes being tweaked. We just have to be patient :\ Which is something I’m terrible at when it comes to this game because my undying love for GW2 won’t seem to ever leave my side.
