There doesnt seem to be any patch notes about it, but retal is hitting a lot harder than it did before the patch.
Umm, so where are the number? How hard was it hitting before, and how hard is it hitting now?
yea call me crazy but yesterday on my Ranger i was defending a keep and no one was hitting me, i almost died due to retaliation. Hit me very hard, i was using barrage but still almost died.
Retail damage from someone heavy on the power has been always been roughly around mid 300s.
And retail has always been painful for multi hit skills like barrage.
the damage wasnt the availability was.
the new light aura is downright strong. I haven’t tested it but i would love to see if powerful aura’s works with it for Ele. Seems like it could have some good results.

Always been a danger with barrage, if you get a group of people who are running retal chances are better you’ll down yourself than any other result.

I think I have noticed retaliation hurt a lot more also.
I am on a necro so I can’t imagine how much extra pain the Grenade/FT engineers must be experiencing.
I don’t see many people with the light aura visual cue being displayed so I don’t think it is that.

Retaliation damage has been upped as well. This has been confirmed by so many players and calculations.
It should be both in pvp and WvWvW:
(198 + (0.075 * Power)) * 0.66
But instead (current bugged version after the patch) it is:
198 + 0.075 * Power * 0.66
It should be very easy to fix this, but Arenanet still hasn’t reacted to this.
