I’ll be honest, whether or not the Venomous Aura change will be buggy or not won’t matter since venom design in of itself is broken.
Venomous Aura is an extremely powerful trait as it can effectively quintuple the effectiveness of a venom. This effect keeps the potential for venom buffs quashed so much that both Venomous Aura and venoms are locked in their current state. As of now, there are not alot of thieves who would willingly use venoms and most vets and highly experienced will tell the average player, “venoms suck”.
The best way to go about it is to just get rid of Venomous Aura (as a start) and either buff or rework venoms into something more desirable. This guy had a pretty sweet venom rework idea posted in the thief forum. Other than that, simply removing the trait and buffing venoms would be good enough.

From what I’ve seen of a good reason why the venom share upgrade won’t work too well, is simply because most venoms are CC, not DoTs. That’s the main problem here, that we only have Spider Venom (poison) and Skale Venom (torment) that deal damage. That’s 2 out of the 6 venoms, this change won’t help venoms, simply because only 1/3 use condition damage. Now if they changed it so Ice Drake and Devourer also did some conditions (such as Confusion and Bleed respectfully), that would be different.

Because its not something any other profession avoids if they want to rack up might to throw a bunch of conditions. Also using poison as a reference for “crappy damage” just implies you believe venoms to be meant for a condi build when they are not. Poison even on condi builds is meant to cover up and reduce healing, not tick hard. The only damaging condition is torment from skale but for how short the effect lasts your might should more than let it do its thing and give you some extra might afterwards for w/e you may want.
Long story short, this will have no effect. Just one of the many reasons a lot of thief players are upset about this upcoming patch, nothing really changed us.
