What I Learned from the livestream
I think they had 7 minutes per profession. And while they didn’t do an even 7 minutes, they certainly did more than 30 seconds on Ele and Engineer. And on the others but since I’m not a theorycrafter I zoned out a bit.
They highlighted some changes, there are many more they couldn’t/wouldn’t go into until the “hype” can happen. Apparently buffs are coming for everyone along with the nerfs mentioned.
The “buff” to Healing Signet is just making the active use more attractive so the player has to decide when to use it rather than defaulting to never. (Yes, I have 2 80 warriors, no I don’t actually use them for anything but RP).
i have one of each profession and 2 of ranger and engineer.
i dont understand this warrior vs every other profession mentality.
if anything i play my warrior less than the rest.
I would prefer a bit more professional/seriously talking about “important News”

I’m so incredibly disappointed at the Ranger feedback once again. Each one of these meetings I watch I’m more and more convinced not a single person on the development team plays a Ranger or has any idea what they want the Ranger class to do.
This was supposed to be a high level discussion of things we’ll see over the next couple patches and the only things they could think to talk about for Rangers was 2 nerfs, how sword is once again considered bugged, and how traps should have fields, but the only traps worth using already have fields…
I’m extremely disappointed by the necromancer feedback. There are a lot of heated issues on the necromancer side, and only Dhuumfire was partially addressed.
I wish they would go more into the hot topics for our class. And for crying out loud, make Signet of Vampirism useful.

They were just joking about not wanting to present nerfs. In most game communities, “shoot the messenger” is standard practice. ANet has been super serious before and it’s pretty boring.
Also keep in mind that these are not all the changes. These were the major changes that are mostly finalized. Professions that had glaring balance problems, either being too strong or too weak had more time. There will be a lot of minor changes to improve various skills and traits. And specific to ranger, they stated there is another major change that they couldn’t discuss yet because it’s still in flux.
Hey ANet, could you guys please combine the necromancer and the thief into one class? It’s obvious enough you don’t give a kitten about either so maybe this would help.
Oh and while we’re at it how about rangeneers? Come on, we have to combat the warrior dominance somehow. Let us combine!

no one wanted to talk about every profession, tried to pass it off to other team members
every person on the panel literally jumped out of their chair to talk about warrior…
Healing signet nerfed 30 hp/s, large buff to the active…
If you haven’t already deleted your character and rolled a warrior, you might as well do it before the next balance patch.
1.Don’t even know what the active will be – it will most likely be situational.
2.Using the active means you don’t get the passive – ergo you’re not getting more passive regen IF you’re using your active.
i thought mesmers were supposed to be duelists not supports.these guys are nerfing dueling traits. necros were supposed to have main dmg from conditions, these guys they nerf conditions, engineers were supposed to be power condis relied on turrents, these guys nerf turrents. warrior were supposed to be a strong class that can tank, these guys made them OP and hey are both tanky and make massive dmg and cc. i dont like complaining but this must be the worst balance update by far. if they keep this way class balance will be for me the reason to look for other mmo

By the way, aren’t engineer turrets plagued by dozens of bugs at the moment? I remember seeing a gigantic list of turret bugs in the Bugs sub-forum.

I like how they propose changes, and then proceed to ignore all the feedback; and then basically repeat the same thing when it gets released.
