It may be a different game but they had and have enough issues with anything that fits that description for you to know it´s a bad idea.

In all honesty though, it isn’t mechanics alone that make a class OP, its the numbers. You could have a class with access to every condition, every boon, highest HP and armor, with 6 trait lines and 36 trait points, who could wield every weapon at once with 3 elites and 4 healing skills, but if everything is 1 damage on a 500s CD… it doesn’t matter much.

I’ll give you an OP class in the same way that ANet tries to make a difficult boss. Take any build right now. Give it a guardians armor, 5 million HP, and have it deal 10k damage per attack.

“The Divine Crusader”

Uses only one weapon, a weapon unique to the class, the poleaxe!
The Divine crusader has 5 stances similar to the elementalists attunements.

- Deadly Stance: You gain +500 power and all your abilities in this stance inflict cripple.
- Defensive Stance: You gain +500 toughness and all your abilities in this stance grant you and nearby allies protection for 3 secs.
-Berserker Stance: You gain +500 precision and every critical strike grants you might for 10 seconds. You also look angry.
Healing Stance: You gain +500 healing and all your attacks are water fields and blast finishers
- Necromancer Stance: You gain +500 condition damage and all your skills apply Torment, burn, bleed and chill.

Healing skill:

Shelter Signet, Passive, you heal for 450 for each attack you land on a target, active, you block all attacks for 5 seconds and heal for 80% Of your total HP. 20 secs cooldown

Utilities:

Engineer’s Fury: A kit that when equipped changes your weapon to a pistol and turns all your attunments into the various kits an engineer can use. No cooldown.

Signet Of Spitefull rage: Passive, grants you a random boon every 1 second for 10 seconds, active, grant yourself might fury and swiftness and inflict all conditions in the game on an opponent for 25 seconds and turn them into a moa.

The Banhammer: Summon a spetral hammer that bans people from the game, upon hit, disconnect the enemy player, upon use, disconnect all enemy players in an area.

Elite skill:

Tome of Divinty

- Heal all allies for 2500 and deal 2500 damage to all enemies in an area.
- Send forth a cone of judgement, dazing all enemies for 5 seconds and granting allies quickness, fury and might for 5 seconds.
- Summon Commander Siegerazor and an Arrow Cart
- Banish your foe the The Ascalonian Catacombs with a group full of new players.
- Heal all allies back to full and kill are nearby enemies.

Class starts at level 55 and has unique appearances, they can also use any armour type.
Every dodge roll, makes you yell yarr and summons a Tropical bird.

Design an OP class against noobs who don’t know what is a dodge button and surely eat all the obvious telegraphed attacks in the face. Yes warrior is indeed overpowered for those people.

atleast we can count.

warriors have 3 CC skills, you have 2 dodge rolls. /maths.

Oracle

“The oracle is a heavy armor profession capable of changing the fates of tyria. Using Rage, which increases as they take damage, they can unleash destruction upon their foes, and if not controlled, their allies as well”.

The Oracle uses Unarmed (No Weapon), Pistol (Off-Hand), or Dagger (Off-Hand).

Rage is a unique mechanic to the Oracle. By taking damage or receiving conditions, their rage meter is filled in interval called orbs. The orbs are spent immediately when attacking, increasing the effects of their attacks but lowering their defenses.

The Oracle has access to unique utilities for the profession only:

Vision – utilities that allow the oracle to forcefully share their thoughts and views.
—- Examples:
Unthoughtful Views: Applies the effect to nearby allies and enemies. If your rage is filled, your allies become target-able enemies, and your enemies receive 10 stacks of might. If your rage is not filled at the end of this ability, all allies are healed fully and all enemies are downed within a 1,000 range. Lasts 10 seconds.

Inexperienced Ramble: Applies the buff to nearby allies and enemies. Enemies are stunned for 2 seconds if they attack you. Allies are stunned for 1 second if they apply a buff to you. If your rage is filled, all allies affected gain all boons, and enemies gain all conditions including agony (level 15).

Ignorance is Bliss: You become immune to all other oracle effects for 900 seconds. If you attack or use a utility, the effect is canceled.

Berate – offensive utilities to curse and hopefully bring doom to enemies, but it probably won’t.
— Examples:
Elitist Scolding: Applies 2 stacks of scolding per attack you make in the next 10 seconds. If an enemy reaches 16 stacks of scolding, they are killed immediately, skipping the down phase.

Cry for Equality: You and the target enemy will have their health equalized to 15,000. If one of you dies, your health will be permanently raised by 2,000.

Fight Me!: Applies Revealed (120s) to all enemies within 2,000 range. The closest enemy can only target you until either of you dies.

Active – These utilities focus on the removal of details to give yourself a better advantage, at the cost of losing it later.

The N.E.R.F Bat: Equip the N.E.R.F Bat, which allows you to reduce the health, damage, and movement speed of those you hit. Stacks indefinitely, until the target dies. By hitting a certain class in PvP, you take a certain effect:
Hitting a Warrior will stun you for 2 seconds.
Hitting a Guardian will heal them for 3,000 health.
Hitting a Ranger will inflict all conditions on you for 1 second.
Hitting a Thief will remove Revealed status on them and Grant them stealth for 2 seconds.
Hitting an Engineer will spawn a Flame Turret.
Hitting a Necromancer will grant them 10 stacks of might.
Hitting a Mesmer will create a clone, regardless of over limit.
Hitting an Elementalist will deal 2,000 damage to you.
Hitting an Oracle will also apply the effects of the N.E.R.F Bat to you.

If you die while using the N.E.R.F Bat, this utility is unlearned and must be repurchased.

Level the Field: Reduces the target’s effective level, as well as your own, by 30. Cannot go lower than 1.

One Man Army: Creates a clone that deals 100% of your damage and has 100% of your health. The number of clones created is equal to the amount of enemies within 3,000 range minus one. If no clones are created, you are instantly killed.

The Oracle has access to 3 powerful Elite skills:

Angry Retreat: Teleports you to a random location on the map, fully heals you, and makes you invulnerable for 3 seconds. Can only be used if rage is full.

Prayer to the Coliseum: Start an incantation that appeals to the Coliseum, where the Gods of Tyria now reside. 1% of the time, the gods will smite all enemies in the map. 4% of the time, all players including yourself will be hit with the N.E.R.F Bat. 95% of the time, nothing will happen.

Test of the Chosen One: Transform into the profession and build that counters your target’s profession and class for 60 seconds. If you die to that person, your oracle’s profession is turned into a new profession Novice, in which you have no utilities, traits, or gear, cannot equip gear or weapons, and permanently in combat, and your effective level is reduced to 7.

The Shadowdancer

Class mechanic: Press F1 to remove revealed and stealth. No cooldown. Stealthing this way grants all boons for 30 seconds. Stealthing while stealthed grants double stealth, through which only the eye of Sauron can pierce. Stealthing at any point resets weapon cooldowns and sends all conditions on you to a random target (usually Kevin Bacon).

Uses a pistol that shoots daggers, a dagger that throws pistols, and a greatsword because why not?

Pistol auto causes bleeding from the front and double damage with poison while flanking. Auto attacking from stealth applies 5 stacks of torment and dazes, but does not break stealth. If the target is immune to either conditions or control, deals 4k damage with a 1.5*power modifier. Pistol 2 shoots a dagger that immobilizes and applies 6 stacks of confusion. Pistol 3 teleports you to target location, blinds opponents, and leaves a smoke field that pulses every half second for 6 seconds.

Dagger offhand 1 throws a pistol that follows the target, using the pistol auto attack every 3 seconds. Up to 10 pistols can be summoned at a time, and they will acquire a new target if their initial one expires. Dagger 5 is mostly just for fun. It doesn’t actually do anything, but it looks really cool.

The greatsword functions like all the other greatswords in the game. GS 1 is a 1200 range auto attack chain that increases in damage the closer or further away you are (it goes up both ways, max damage is when you’re inside of them on the other side of the map). It also gives you 3/4 seconds of blur and 5 seconds of 3 stacks might on each swing while evading because it can.When used in stealth, auto attack deals triple damage and grants quickness and haste for 15 seconds. GS 2 is a short cooldown ranged hundred blades style move that can be channeled while move, grants stealth and evades, doesn’t break stealth, and give stability , “just in case.” GS 3 knocks your enemy off the map. If there is a wall in the way, he dies from horizontal falling damage instead. GS 4 is always active, and it reflects projectiles, blocks attacks while still causing double retaliation damage, and automatically calls people noobs for you when they die. GS 5 summons a potato meteor that cannot be blocked, dodged, evaded, blurred, or otherwise be resisted and causes damage equal to your maximum downed health every second for one minute. If you are considered invulnerable, you still die, but it automatically revives you and kills you again.

All utilities are signets that increase your stats 10%, with the exception of the heal and elite. The heal functions exactly as the warrior healing signet, but with 5% less health per tick, because it might be too OP otherwise. The elite summons a rain of exploding cows that leave condition fields. Condition fields apply all conditions for 30 seconds, and tick every half second. They also stun you.

If a potato lands in a cow’s field, you win GW2 and GW3 is delivered to you from the future.
