1 point air minor trait and signet of air
No, you’ll just get +25% from signet of air. Things like that don’t stack unless they specifically say so, like windborne dagger.

With the swiftness access and other buffs that eles have, plus the miniscule effect 10% move-speed has, the 1-point minor on eles essentially doesn’t exist.

i see around the forums that people say staff has lots of swiftness access
i dont see that besides staff air 4
are they refering to eruption > static field > arc brilliance > arc wave > windborne speed?
Actually i was really curious about this a few weeks ago, but i didn’t find any answers, so i decided to test it.
At first i tried to test it by myself, by running and meanwhile equipping-unequipping-reequipping the trait while having Signet of air on my skillbar, but i just couldn’t notice the difference. However, when i didn’t have Signet of air, i noticed the difference in speed.
So i asked a mesmer to run with me. We ran without swiftness or any speed buffs, and then with the minor trait equipped, and without Signet of air. We also tried running with focus #4 swiftness on her and only Signet of air on me – she was faster of course. Then i equipped the minor trait as well, and she gave herself swiftness again and we had the same speed. So i’d say it does stack, according to this test.

Well, it does have the only lightning field besides underwater/elite/conjures and eles have a decent amount of fairly short cd blast finishers. Without any boon duration, you can achieve perma swiftness with staff by using 3 sources. 4 on staff is 10 seconds and so is the swiftness from Glyph heal and blast finishers in lightning field. So you could do staff 4+2 blast finishers or staff 4+glyph heal+1 blast finisher. This comes out to exactly 30 seconds of swiftness(with no boon duration), which is the base cooldown of staff #4 . Again, having traits that reduce cd or boon duration gear will make it so you have more than perma swiftness.
