3 Off-Hands>2 Two-Handers?
What was the thinking behind this? Ele will be the only class with access to only a single 2-handed weapon. 3 off-hand weapons with access to only 2 main hand weapons seems an odd choice.
See: Mesmer, 2 MH weapons with 5 OH. Ele doesn’t seem so odd now does it?
And the reason Ele has access to less weapons than other professions is because attunements.
Most classes have more offhands than mainhands. Ranger has 4 offhands compared to 2 mainhands. Mesmer will now have 5 offhands with 2 mainhands. Engie has 1 MH and 2 offhands. So that’s really nothing out of the ordinary at all. If anything, Ele was the odd one out for NOT having more offhands.
As far as being the only class without multiple 2H weapons… while true, I don’t really see it being a huge problem. A new 2H for Ele would mean 20 different weapon skills, which would be pretty crazy, so I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Ele never gets another 2H option.
Maybe if we’re really lucky Ele will get 2h sword for their next elite spec to fulfill the melee spell blade type role a lot of people were hoping that Tempest was going to be.
And in reality ele has basically only dagger mainhand and staff since scepter is trash and no one bothers to fix it.
Also, don’t forget other classes have a wider variety in twohanded weapons at least. They definitely should have gone with a mainhand or twohand, but it’s too much work ya know.

There are a couple classes in a similar boat, my hope is that they release two weapons for most classes with the next major release, while the Ele only gets one two-hander, so the skills balance out.
