Guild Wars 2

Hi guys,
i almost never posted anything in the ele forum, and from now on i’ll switch to another class in PvP because i really like the idea of learning a new class instead of using always me ele (my first class since beta in wvw-pvp-pve).
I decided to write here a list of the builds i actually use in TPvP with my team, i usually switch to one of them at the beginning of the match depending on the enemy team and the map (and what my 4 friends want to use).
I hope this will help someone ^^

List of Builds:
1) DD CANTRIP
-This is classic, i use it the most in Solo Queue or if my team need strenght in the middle of the action, awesome in 1v1 and 1v2, cant hold a 1v3 for long.
The mist form and armor of earth are a must for me, i use them almost only for res/stomp
2) FRESH AIR
-This build have the best burst in game, and is all or nothing at the finest, you use this when ur team need more damage in a fight. This is not a good 1v1 build against any good player by the way, so do not roam solo.
3) STAFF DPS
Use this build when you want hate whispers all over your chat window ;P
This is probably the best AoE damaging build out of all classes, you have to find a safe place and start bombing from there, be aware that you’ll never win any 1v1 against people that actually have a mouse and a keyboard and 2 hands to use them.
I ALWAYS use this build in Forest Of Nifhel. Other map where this build is good is Temple.
4) POINT HOLDER
This is the most bunkerish build i’ve found for my ele, it has only 1 SB but i dont really found it a problem, you can always switch the signet for mist form but you’ll lose 180 toughness.

Hello. in your dd build i would say the 6 point on water would be better, and cleansing wave for lightning flash would be better, as an escape or as a gap closer it is a good utility.

For the rest i never really liked staff nor fresh air.
For Sceptre focus i don’t really think that signet is a must but it is your choice.

Mist form on D/D isn’t good. Replace that with Lightning flash for the Blazing speed/Lightning Flash combo.

Also, take that two out of Fire and put it in water for Cleansing. Super necessary.

^ This. Or 10 points in earth. Personally I use 0/10/10/20/30.

And also why would you blow 3 stacks of might just for a stomp. I actually never liked Spellslinger, cantrips are “Oh Kitten” buttons, might won’t help me here.

I’m not really looking for suggestions considering i’m not gonna use my ele in PvP anymore, at least for a while.
The version of DD i use is the product of a lot of variations i did on traits, and what i have linked is the final and the “perfect for me” variation.
I personally dont like LF at all as a cantrip, the only time i used it in pvp was for the BS combo, but i was using berserk amulet at the time.
I dont put 30 in water because i never died to a condi build lately, so i dont really feel the need to put some extra condi removal ^^

What is the blazing speed/lightning flash combo?

MH D/ Fire #3, when your toon turns around, use Lightning Flash on top of a mob/enemy without touching any directional keys. Lightning Flash can also be used with Earthquake, Churning Earth and even Fire Grab.

I’ve also tried using a soldiers amulet instead of Celestials lately. I like it a lot more as I have 20K health, a lot more toughness, and still retain the power from when I would use a zerker’s, without any of the squishiness. Granted, your crit will be really low, but your sustained damage/health and overall presence in teamfights will be much longer, resulting in more damage. Try it out.
