Anyone can kindly give me a suggestion on builds,traits and gear to make a great condition dmg based ele ? I’m not mega rich but I’m willing to spend a bit if it’s worth it.

There is no “great condition dmg based ele” in PvE. It does not exist. Considering the current state of the game and its mechanics, it cannot exist. Direct dmg will always net higher average DPS, as well as higher burst.

If you are looking for a condi-based class, try necro. If you are looking for a condi-based class in PvE, you might as well give up; there are none. Even necro goes power in PvE.

There are some great PvE direct dmg builds for ele, but I’m tired of linking them. If you’re interested, go through my post history and look for YouTube links.

Elementalists are awful at condi builds, esp in pve. Theres a few reasons for this, most of our condi dmg can be situational (dagger offhand 4 skill, scepter 2, etc). Regardless of that, we cannot stack condi’s very well and 2 of our 4 attunements do 0 condi dmg.

Why people insist on condi dmg when most of our skills do great power dmg is confusing, we have no weapon set that is set for condi dmg like other classes. Condi dmg is merely a… convenient side effect of using our skills.

I write this because if you REALLY wanted to do a build, it would not be cheap. I would suggest a mix of carrion/celestial which could take time. I HIGHLY suggest not wasting the time.

Well, to be honest, any combination of the words “condition” and “Elementalist” is not-functional, if you add the word “PvE”, you’ve just got to the Sci-Fi section.

Necro and Engi do condition so much better than us but I saw an article about this topic on Relics of Orr

Ohh now after reading you guy’s comments, I regret spending time and money on trying to build a condition dmg ele but nvm I also have another ppc( pricision,power,critical) zerk cof armour set. Can u guys suggest me what I should go for to get great dps for doing dung?

Everything berserker, scholar runes, main set s/d force sigil on one and other can be anything, I put energy for more dodges, another s/d set with bloodlust sigil on each to get 25 bl stacks faster. This weapon set will get you through most dungeons; look up guides on how to play and trait it, there are several topics on the ele forums already I really don’t want to type it here again.
