I was wondering if D/Wh is still the go to for a Fresh Air build. Reason is because Ride the Lightning grants you the ferocity buff from Fresh Air when you use it(bug?).

Is an extra 250 fero while OLing Air every 2 OLs and a Fire Grab every 3 OLs(instead of a Burning Speed) make it worth taking over Lightning Orb?

This is looking at damage only. Dagger OH CCs have longer CD and I don’t know how defiance is calculated, as well as less support.

250 Ferocity is 5-6%.
Wildfire hits 2x as Firegrab but takes longer, less cd, basically use it every 2 air overloads.
Lightning Orb is main dps of warhorn and got buffed hard recently.
The area increase makes it hit 13 times on normal boxes and 20+ on big boxes and it’s on a 16s cd only.
So really, not much to compare, warhorn wins easily.

It’s actually pretty interesting it procs the Fresh Air trait but doesn’t mess with the Overload recharge.

After some testing with different rotations I can’t get it to reach D/W levels. It seems to me /D is about 10% worse than /W. Surprisingly, this makes D/D a tiny amount stronger than staff.
