Hi everyone, I am quite new to gw itself and ele has been the only profession i’ve played but I don’t think I’ll change any time soon because it is that good.

I have been closely following d/d guide because it gives me a lot of insight as to how some of the mehanics of ele are supposed to be utilized and used.

However I have come across a question, I am on AC PVT gear and weapon and have full sapphire accessories (Power, healing and Toughness i think).

My base crit rate is 10% and with fury it goes up to 30%. According to daphoenix you can get it up to 40%+ even with PVT gear stats.
Am i doing something wrong??

With full pow/tou/vit gear you’d either need 30 points in air trait line to get 40%, or you could use a sigil of perception and a sigil of accuracy and get around 40%, maybe a bit more with food buffs and oil. (that’s all including fury as you should have this up pretty constantly)

I’d suggest giving a mix of knight’s and valkyrie’s trinkets and weapons with the pow/tou/vit armor a try if you want a bit more crit/damage. With that setup and 0-20-0-30-20 my elementalist has 29% base crit (49% with fury, would be around 65-70% with perception/accuracy sigils and oil but I use battle/force and sharpening stones usually) and 41 crit damage. It’s less forgiving than the 0-10-0-30-30 pow/tou/vit/cleric build, but hits harder and bursts faster (the 15 point air trait is a pretty decent instant hit with long range, which can drop a fleeing opponent especially combined with bolt to the heart trait and a quick rtl or lightning flash). I use 4x runes of altruism and 2x superior water for +30% boon duration and an aoe might buff whenever I heal (running glyph heal for more boons as well) which gives 400 healing power, not spectacular, but a nice boost.
There’s nothing wrong with your current build, just some food for thought.

Maintenance oil, and stacking sigil i would think. Maybe sigil of accuracy for offhand.
