Advice for roaming air build?
Roaming is commonly used regarding WvW, but you’re looking for a build for “regular” PvE open world content, right? Well, here’s a bit of advice from me:
- Since you took Elemental Attunement with you, you gain swiftness every time you attune to Air. Given that you also have Fresh Air, you can accumulate a good amount of swiftness between an in fights → no need for Windborne Dagger in my opinion.
- This gives you new trait options. Since you have a 42%+ crit chance, i recommend Renewing Stamina for extra vigor. → This also comes in handy for another (imo better) Grandmaster trait, Evasive Arcana.

try this!!! I love doing random builds but they need to work in pvp.
So basically the idea is spamming lightning whip with glyph of elemental power active to provide near permanent weakness on foes. Next is the arcana grandmaster trait in combination with arcane power which lets you apply blind 5×.
Also if you really want an air build why didn’t you equip sigil of air? Ya should actually also use the rune of air but the rune of the ogre is better.
ah and as for the idea behind the build, blind ’m and burst ’m thus preventing them to do damage to you or your team mates… so in a way its a support build.

Basically, yes.
Soo since your a fresh air DD ele spec, all i can suggest is a few things, which don’t need to be done but will give your build a bit more survive-ability while maintaining damage. changing from ogre rune to traveler rune. Giving you boon duration which works so well with ele, Speed increase ( so you can change out the adept Arcana trait to vigor on crit trait) and you gain condi duration. Its an awesome rune for roamers of all types, you get to get around the map extremely fast. Your build is bent around dealing tons of damage which is awesome, but you lack alot of sustain and general survivability. My suggestion is going to increase both while still keeping you on the damage route. So change out signit of fire for arcane shield and the water signit for lightening flash. So now you can Burning speed/blink into enemies for big bursties and or blink your churning earth. Lastly about that sustain… i would change a few armor/trinket pieces so your healing trait from adept gives you a flat 100 heal per tick. Being that your zerker dd you don’t want to stick around in water too long, but attuning will give you a decent amount of sustain which could be game changing in certain duels for you when roaming. So maybe a few celestial armor pieces/cleric necklace should do it. I hope that helps

“everything works with roaming” good look roaming with not meta builds if some meta builds jump at you.
Meh, I personally think scepter builds work tge best for maximizing the things that you get from air, but I find D/D to be kind of boring at times,so im pretty biased.
